It will be interesting to see how the players respond after last night's win, I suspect the away games will be where we may struggle - I know we lost two recent games prior to the impressive Crewe win but for me it's the games like Saturday which should highlight which direction our season might go. It would be fantastic to snatch the win, as I don't expect to hear Notts playing at their high level.

Besides, Newport County will do their best to break down the play.

I think David Pipe will be a massive loss for them, he surged the Exiles on last time. I just hope the corner flags manage to save themselves during this game, it should be interesting.

Tricky game, this. Newport are a tough proposition this season, especially at Rodney Parade. I'd be happy with a draw here.

think it will be a draw due to how dirty of a side they are. plus they like to waste time more than any other club!

I am trying to find a realistically positive outcome for this game. As usual, my heart says we’ll get something from the game but my head keeps bringing me back to Tuesdays 2nd half, backs to the wall performance. If we can’t play football we don’t perform and I can’t see us being allowed to play tomorrow. If we get a draw I think we will be lucky. If Stead scores I predict a 2 - 1 home win I am afraid.

I honestly believe we need to win this, and the Cambridge game or we could be losing ground - and quickly.☹️

We need to make sure we treat this game properly, as if the results go our way - well we could regain some of ground we lost massively recently.

Newport are there for the taking IMO, no disrespect but Barnet do have a very capable attackers. The Exiles are okay, yet they're exactly the type of team a good Notts County can keep quiet. Fingers crossed we can!

Two scrappy teams which neither side was able to put in a proper performance. I think from the Notts perspective this is my biggest worry the fact we are woeful and lack that finishing required to win games.

Stead missed a few good chances yesterday.
