Russia bow out

So the Russian dream has come to an end at the hands of Croatia in a penalty shootout. Russia came in to the World Cup the lowest ranked side and some only believed the only way they were in the World Cup was because they were the hosts.

Thoughts guys on Russias elimination and performance over the World Cup.?

Best knockout of the group stage, Russia are not special and I don't think they would have qualified if they was not the hosts.

France next please.

Russia have been hit and miss, they allowed Croatia to play at times where they should have made it more difficult. It was a good game mind, no complaints both teams could have won the game before penalties.

I'm torn between Belgium and France as to which I would prefer to be knocked out.

If Belgium go at least if England make the final and win, people can't say we had it all easy. If France go, Belgium do look like a winnable team. If the midfield is silenced then they have no a game on the pitch. It's nice to know Russia have gone though, as the hosts they have been punching above their own weight.

The Belgium team are now known as the golden generation so yeah I think they are a winnable team.

Very overrated team, this is their first big achievement. England can't let them win it!
