I'm not totally confident in England whoever they are playing these days, but Ukraine are a decent side who can, and have, caused us problems.

Looking forward to a good game though!

Gerrard is a Notts fan :)

Avoid defeat and England have a foot on the plane to Brazil. Ye'll beat Poland and Montenegro at home. 2nd place means a playoff and it's pot luck so best avoided.

We beat them in their own back yard in the Euro's last summer so there's no reason why we can't win even with an injury crisis up front, we should have enough in the tank. I just hope we don't go and play for a draw!

Pretty big game for the Republic of Ireland tonight away to Austria. Anything less than a win and I think ROI can kiss their qualification hopes goodbye myself. The manager seems convinced he wont be in charge at the end of this qualifying campaign, so it dosen't sound great for them.

Elsewhere with the home nations - Scotland travel to Macedonia, Northern Ireland are in Luxembourg, and Wales host Serbia looking to avenge their 6-1 drubbing in Serbia earlier in the campaign

A useful, albeit very uninspiring 0-0 draw for England. Seemed to have draw written all over it fairly early on, neither side could keep the ball and were limited to just a few half chances. Win our final two home games against Montenegro and Poland and we'll qualify.

Republic of Ireland's qualification hopes are all-but over after they lost 1-0 in Austria. Scotland had a good result, winning 2-1 in Macedonia while Wales lost 3-0 at home to Serbia.

Northern Ireland lost 3-2 in Luxembourg, and became the first side to be beaten in Luxembourg in a world cup qualifier for 43 years!

Meanwhile Germany and Italy booked their places in Brazil tonight

Ukraine vs England was poor. England should win both their home games and qualify, but I don't think ye'll be contenders for the World Cup. Spain, Netherlands, Argentina, Germany and Brazil are well ahead of ye at the moment. Of course that may change coming up to the tournament.

I didn't comment on this whilst on holiday because I lost out on £96.

I thought England would honestly win - I though 1-0 or 2-0 at the least and I also bet on Northern Ireland big mistake! haha I got some very narrow results also, so it would have look very likely.

From what I've heard/been told I didn't miss much. It's hard to motivate myself to watch England, I'd rather spend the time with my family or on here. It's just not possible to get the joy I did from watching exciting players. Some people I speak to mention it's like this with Notts but England have no excuses, they should be doing better, that said it wasn't a bad result.
