Steve Chettle's black & white army! 🤣

Another loss and I will wonder if sacking Kevin Nolan at this point made any sense at all.

it will be a strange game and i wonder what the attendance will be like.

i think with nolan gone and with notts sitting bottom of the league people wont bother to turn up but the club needs the support. the manager and players are temporary but the support is a lifetime or should be.

i hate to sound negative but i dont see a win, a draw at best.

Knowing how football works Notts will scrape a 1-0 win.

Then a few days after Steve Chettle will be appointed and the honeymoon period will be over.

The players will either do well and win showing how they have let down Kevin Nolan or they will play badly and lose.

It's going to be a long game I feel.

I would love a win and it really does depend on what approach Chettle makes (assuming he is in charge). I think he likes to play attacking football so I am going to with this lineup.

3 - 5 - 2

Fitz / Brisely - Bird - Duffy / Alessandra - Hewitt - Vaughan - Kellett - Boldewjin / Dennis - Hemmings

Subs: Culverwell, Tootle, Husin, Alessandra, Hawkridge, Stead, Campbell.

It is a complete guess for the score because of how we react and gel to this new setup and if the players wanted KN in or out will reflect in how they play in my opinion. FGR are unbeaten and I think our defence will once again suffer from the likes of Campbell, Doidge and Reid. Sorry but it goes as a loss for me Notts County 2 (Hemmings (2)) - 3 FGR (Doidge (2) , Grubb) .

Please prove me wrong Notts.

Im just looking forward to going to meadow lane .. a win would be amazing and I really hope we get it

The games more about not conceding silly goals or giving points a way, I can see it being tougher since Kevin Nolan isn't there now. It will be curious to know if the training has changed at all? The approach needs to be perfect, I don't have much faith in Steve Chettle as a manager.

Just have to avoid any more damage being done to the squad.

No prediction just yet, but it could be a dull game for both teams.

Notts have to win sooner or later but I am nervous about this happening during Steve Chettles temporary spell in charge.

I would hate to see another Chris Kiwomya mistake.

It's hard to think Notts can get anything from this when I don't know what Steve Chettle brings.

It could go anyway, it all depends on how they perform.

I want to see Notts win but under Steve Chettle? That idea gives me nightmares.

It will probably be a goalless draw and very boring at that.

The board have reacted, now it's the turn of the players. They should at this moment be worrying for their livelihood, they let a manager, who wanted then, down, now with a new manager coming in, probably with different ideas, they need to prove they can/want to be part of the future. Over to the players.

Eyes will be on the players Saturday has @DonnyNotts has said.

Steve Chettle won't have changed much and I would be more surprised he if he starts with a different team/formation than Kevin Nolan. I hope Notts can get their first league win because I am certain we can all be vocal enough about what may happen if the board do decide to consider Chettle.

The season starts soon hopefully.

I don’t know what’s worse .. the fact that chettle will be in charge or harry kewill will be in charge on a permanent.

The clubs fortune has to change, I hope Notts get the first league win and that things settle for whoever comes in. This has to be the goal right now.

kewell will probably see what needs to be done, i hope he can do well for notts but i do feel the decision to appoint him is poor,

however much notts have paid for his services, it should have gone towards the playing squad and defence in january or used to get some good free agents. i can see notts continuing to lose because on the service not much has changed.

2-0 defeat is my prediction.

My prediction would be a goalless draw or 1-1.

I'm not sure what to expect but the club needs to be positive, they need to work together and most importantly all the players need to give 100%. This season could be salvaged and a win could help but it's very hard to see how it would come.

Hopefully Harry Kewell can hit the ground running and get the best out of the players.

Let's make the KOP loud and proud tomorrow.

Well looks like we got some good news in the form of Bolton Wanders signing Christian Doidge on loan, signing permanently on 01/01/19. Still think this will be tough but hopefully we won’t have Hewitt playing rb, maybe COC coming back from injury is ready to take on the position. Problem either way is our back 5 will likely be very inexperienced and the communication will be lacking, no one marshalling the defence. Best hope is Hall playing, can’t see us not conceding even with him though

Think we both score and we finally win 3-1 to get our season back on track, my rose tinted glasses are still working just fine even after the rough start to the season.

Doidge has gone! Pretty fantastic news for us, he's one of the best strikers in the league in my opinion.

If we play Hewitt at RB with Husin and Vaughan in CM again I'll go for a 2-1 loss.

If we play Hewitt in the middle, I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

Hoping for a win (obviously) but I'm just not feeling confident. Kewell was at Notts' training session today and hopefully got them together to gee them up!

I am disappointed Notts lost.

Forest Green didn't look a very good team either but the difference between them and us is the fact that they played as a team. They attacked and defended as one, there was no player in their team who took it upon themselves to be the star player and I felt this is where Notts lacked. Some of the players held onto the ball or rushed their pass, just awful defending at the back again.

Cry's heard from the stands about if Notts can have Kevin Nolan back.

How Notts picked up the ball at times in the first half was good to see, the organisation even then was way off but I felt the communication in the defence was mostly better. The goals came from Notts aimlessly pushing forward without any clear mindset of what to do when they had the ball.

The goals were typical of what Notts have conceded this season.

Forest Green made scoring look easy but I have no confidence now in Fitzsimons or Hewitt, Jones also looked pretty useless at the back.

The display was much worse than under Kevin Nolan.

Notts picked the ball up and defended quite well early on but that soon stopped, nobody seemed to want the ball apart from David Vaughan who chased things down and used the ball well especially in the first half. How he continues to draw criticism whilst Ross Fitzsimons is defended is baffling. He seem will get stick for trying, whilst others are a big disappointment.

Dan Jones also made the defence very weak in my opinion and Elliot Hewitt needs to be dropped.

The game was not a 3-1 encounter, Forest Green barely played better than Notts.

Apart from the ten minute spurt, we were totally rubbish. Again. I stopped myself coming on here when I got in to avoid knee jerk reactions, but after reflection, it was that bad!

Harry Kewell, what have you let yourself in for!?!

New keeper. New left back. New centre back. All from free transfers!

Soem seriously disappointing lack of effort today. It was funny watching Kewell in the stands though. He might as well walked down and sat on the bench. Probably best not to though so today could be claimed as nothing to do with him!

Posted

disappointed because i feel notts made it hard for themselves, i dont understand why the team is so bad but i think a new keeper would help matters.

some players seemed too far gone today. :(

Disappointed, angry and can’t understand why Fitzsimmons wasn’t replaced by a loane .. £4 hundred k for a manger and that would have got us a decent keeper. Vaughan , mildom and stead and husin the only positives for me ...
