Forest's new ground plans

At yesterday's game it sounded like a lot of Notts fans was green in envy with the purposed plans for the redevelopment of the City Ground.

I was surprised to see that a discussion hadn't been created on PON too.

What is the general census of "the neighbours" plans to further expand their stadium?

I am glad to see the plans have retained the traditional style of ground, it would have been very easy to bump the capacity up by including corner areas throughout each stand. In comparison to other stadium re-builds, I can't help but feel impressed even though this is Forest. The ground looks English, it looks better than most Premier League re-builds. The increase may be a small amount but surely it will be good for the city of Nottingham???

It won't be long until those realistic fans start to want Notts to re-build Meadow Lane despite the attendance figures not warranting it. Only comment I heard that seemed valid was if Notts lost the ground and was forced to relocate/re-build a new stadium.

As for Forest, it's nice in appearance but not much different.

It does look good to be fair. They haven't relocated to a soulless bowl on the edge of town, which is good. I feel that football grounds should be at the heart of their communities rather than on a motorway junction.

Still hope it'll all fall into a giant sink hole mind.

Credit where it's due, it does look good. The question I have is will it actually happen? They've talked about this sort of stuff for years.

If only Meadow Lane could get a bit more of a revamp, we can only dream but the City Ground does look stylish by the artwork design.

It looks okay, actually, and I didn't take offence to the jokes about a Meadow Lane becoming an ASDA superstore. Besides, there's no chance of that happening with the West Bridgefords store being 5 minutes up the road. ????

A field where dreams become reality.

They can do what they like really aslong as they stay put on the wrong side of the river, it makes us still the ONLY club in the city :)

I do like how they have retained the traditional shape, I wished Notts could afford to do something better with the Sirrel and Family Stand. I know it's needed but those two parts really let Meadow Lane down.

Jimmy Sirrel deserves the Pavis Stand stature.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

I’ve seen the new plans for the city ground not going to lie it looks good very smart indeed. I’m told from forest fans that it will cost a fair bit but the owner appears to want to invest. I look forward to seeing it finished.

Credit where it's due, the ground does look very smart and its nice to see a club avoiding building something beyond their means. It's a modest revamp and I respect that.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.
