What a terrible thing to happen to Hucknall Olympic athlete Andy Turner, if he wasn't distraught enough at the sudden death of his mother, some lowlife robbed the house while he was at her funeral! What a sad world we live in.

We know Andy, it's very sad.

@GrannyPie used to work for his father, quite surreal to think about this. He must know the person who did it, so I can't see it being all that hard to solve. Even if someone randomly decided to target him because of the tragic events, it doesn't rule out the fact it's someone known.

I sincerely hope the police get of their behinds! If they do, this might end better.

Hopefully he gets his things back.

I don't know Andy or anything like that. It just goes to show the sign of the times and that there are as you have all said, some total scum in this world.

I have to say nowadays too, they aren't that bothered about going through the soft justice system.

It is probably wrong to say this in today's society, BUT, there are certain things to be said for "personal retribution"

The wrong-uns might think more about doing it then.

Well, Well, Well,

One of the reasons why i left the UK, i'm sure it happens here in Canada too (Especially in Crack Head Toronto ha ha ha) .

However I read more and more about these stories everyday coming from over there. I feel sad to hear things like this, as this is sub-human nature is occuring more and more.

Our justice system is just as bad as your's (We use all British laws). ANd unless something drastic happens to that decrepid old system. We'll still be in dinsour mode.

Prayers and Thoughts are with Andy and Family
