Shola Ameobi returns to Newcastle United in a new role

Recommended Posts

good luck to him, i think he would have made a good coach if he decided that was what he wanted. this role seems more mentoring and looking after the players tho.

He lives up in Newcastle, knows what is it is like to be unsettled and forced to travel. It can only be a good thing for him.

Good luck to him, he was an icon for Notts and should do well in his new position.

Interesting position, it does seem like something a club does to pull back a popular figure, but I am sure Shola Ameobi would do well. Some loan players do need a bit of support when they arrive to a new club, so at least Newcastle seems forward thinking.

Good luck to the Notts icon.
