How it works
- Guess the surname of a former Notts County player. Answers contain 5 to 14 A–Z gameplay letters. Supported hyphens are ignored; spaces, apostrophes, accented letters, digits and other punctuation are not silently transformed into a different answer.
- Guesses are checked against PONdle’s surname dictionary before they can consume an attempt. The dictionary can include genuine surnames that are not possible PONdle answers.
- A correct tile means the letter is in the right place. A present tile means the letter is in the surname but in another available place. An absent tile means that letter occurrence is not available.
- Duplicate letters use exact Wordle-style counting: each matching answer letter can be consumed only once.
- You may use one configured hint when available. The hint costs one of the six attempts but does not itself break a streak.
- Practice is separate from the Daily game. Practice results do not affect Daily scores, streaks, leaderboards or forum posting.
