Jodi Jones Injury
I hope he will be okay. I am sure whatever injury it is, we’ll look after him and he will come back stronger. We looked after Cal Roberts. Jodi will want to return to playing when ready, I am sure.

One for Poirot : What was the attendance v Gillingham
The announced attendance didn’t seem right. It easily looked over 14,000. In the Pavis, I could see a free seat. The KOP only had seats in the side corners and not many. So, I am baffled by the 11,000.

Morecambe FC : Fact of the day
They play tomorrow. It will be eventful if they lose because it could lead to a trickier team. I just hope they don’t sack their manager and hire a new one before we play them. It should be a good away day if Notts play their cards right.

Ex Notts analyst Craig Cope
I don’t remember him, so he can’t have done much for us. If he was here during Jamie Fullarton’s reign, no wonder.

Poll: Who is your Notts Man of the match v Gillingham?
Thank goodness the officials can’t be voted for! I bet somewhere on the internet, a Gillingham fan site is voting for them as their Men of the Match. I voted for Dan Crowley. It’s a shame no one else really got going despite some of his clever passing.

Curtis Edwards Injury
I am saddened to see Curtis Edwards out. It won’t be easy without him, but we have cover. I hope he can come back strong and ready. He’s a good player.

Match Discussion: Game 7 - The Gills (H)
I hope David McGoldrick is in form. We have every chance of pulling off a victory if Gillingham’s defence is as good as their fans say. His class could be the dividing factor.

Happy birthday CliftonMagpie
Happy Birthday, @CliftonMagpie! Once you reach a certain age, birthdays are just like any other day, right? Enjoy it anyway!

Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Ravens (A)
I would predict a win based on form. It is still early days, and at some point, a team will try to disrupt us. I don’t think the wheelbarrow will break, but I am cautious that a team like Bromley could cause a shock. I just want our lads to play well.

Maynard's Selection Conundrum. Who Should be in His Starting 11?
I think there are several players who are essential when fit: Alex Bass, Jacob Bedeau, Matty Platt, Matt Palmer, Dan Crowley, and Jodi Jones. The rest can be rotated among the squad. It’s a good problem for the head coach to have. It took Stuart Maynard time to identify his strongest squad last season. I think he knows now and sees the benefits of certain players in specific games.

Where are they now : Montel Gibson and Remaye Campbell
It's not long ago that they were young players here at Notts. I hope they do well there.

A Statement From The Notts County Board of Directors.
I think it's important to tell the fans that the club tried their best to sign new players. We were able to keep two of our most important players. I don't think the rumours about them being unhappy are true. Maybe they are injured, or maybe the manager decided not to play them against Accrington.

Alassana Jatta: In The Goals.
Jatta is a good option up front. He will score goals and works hard. I also agree that he's more than capable of being our main striker. I hope he enjoys the season and scores a hat-trick at some point.

Why Forest’s Premier League status has been beneficial for Notts.
Notts and Nottingham benefit from Forest's status, but it's the same for Notts themselves. When a club does well at any level, it encourages young people to get involved with football. I think the blog Gerrit Forward is brilliant. It gives you a lot to think about.

Jermaine Jenas sacked by BBC
It always gets blown way out of proportion. The BBC are acting like children when they sack people. They make it a big story, but they are the ones making that decision, so it's hard to believe them.

Is I Robot Much Closer to Reality?
I am against the idea of making human-like robots. I am not worried that they will try to take over, but I think it's a scary thought.

Game postponed for a weird reason?
It's very embarrassing. I hope none of their fans came. I think it's ridiculous.

RIP Sven
His legacy in football and life will be remembered. I think he was worried that people might remember him for what the media said about him. The man who came to Notts was humble and a true gentleman. I am sure many people will remember him in the same way. Rest in peace.

Where are they now : Christian Oxlade Chamberlain
He was rubbish for Notts, nowhere near the standard needed here.

Chris & Alex Reedtz: Five Years In Charge
Some fans won’t know just how lucky we are right now. Notts used to be a team that struggled and had little hope. Parts of the ground needed refurbishing, and despite some awful events, the previous owners have done some nice things to the ground. This makes me thankful to have the Reedtz. They have gone above and beyond. Notts doesn’t seem to be a project but a club always wanting to be better. I hope they see the importance of retaining the family club aspect, especially with the increase in match prices. I applaud them for all the wonderful things they have done. Those who question their ambition only want short-term gains and don’t think about how bad the club could be if things weren’t thought out or wisely planned.

Managing Expectations with Notts
I am happy provided we have a real go at the league. We might not finish in the playoffs, and that is fine with me. I don’t lack ambition; I just feel that if we finish above our previous league position, it shows the club is moving in the right direction. There is too much uncertainty of having one good season, then one where you underperform. You have to balance expectations, which can be hard when your heart rules your mind.

Match Discussion: League Cup - The Shrews (A)
Oh well, you can’t win every game. I think the fact that Notts did throw the game away completely counts for something. Losing on penalties isn’t the worst way to go out of the League Cup. Resilience was shown to get back into the game after we put ourselves on the wrong foot by allowing Shrewsbury back into the game at 2-2.

Notts County Women updates
I hope the signings help Notts as they push to climb up the women’s leagues. The last signing, having played in America, must have something special, as the standard there is very high.
