  1. Good signing, has all the redeeming qualities needed in midfield. The club's needed a box to box midfielder for years, Palmer makes an excellent addition.
  2. It has been awhile since we have had a player permanently who is so exciting as Cal Roberts, you can see he's a special talent and even with the injuries so far I fully expect him to be able to continue is pathway to the top. I remember seeing Matt Ritchie and feeling similar, but I do believe Roberts to have better potential.
  3. Hopefully the conditions will be fine, I know there's rain forecasted but its supposed to ease up by time the game starts. I am sure Meadow Lane will be in perfect condition. Don't forget that the game is being aired on BT Sports. https://www.bt.com/sport/football/national-league/national-league-tv-picks-bt-sport It would be nice to see Ardley opt for a more attacking minded team, it's good Cal Roberts played but we need to be mindful about the fixtures. I think Notts should do much better at home.
  4. Michael Doyle offered a new deal, whilst Tom Crawford and Regan Booty have been released? Where's the logic in that??
  5. Games going ahead according to the official Notts site, I would lose faith in this league if they called it off at the last minute. Hope the games goes without any issues.
  6. For those who feel fit and healthy, don't risk getting this virus because nobody knows how your body will react. Keep safe everyone.
  7. Strong showing to pull back the game, I thought both teams played equally well in the first half but Notts kept that pressure on from the end of the first period and took the points.
  8. South Korea has been hit with more cases, it's picking up elsewhere. I'm concerned how nations in Africa will cope since they don't have the medical advantages that some countries do.
  9. Just keep living your life, it's to short to worry about these things.
  10. Yeah, two legged. I almost fell off my seat when I read about this on the official site. Credit to the new boys, both teams deserve praise but the cleanliness of Notts shown. Yes, we are a few levels higher, but the eagerness to do well and start brightly shown most.
  11. Show no fear, respect them but just take on their players. If Roberts and Enzio took on their men, it would eventually lead to nerves creeping in if they keep pushing.
  12. The referee did have a nightmare, but he somewhat improved in the second half. Yeovil played quite poorly. They focused more on being underhanded than any signs of playing football. I am pleased Notts managed to hold onto the win, Kyle Wootton did immensely well when he came on.
  13. That's just Notts. I think the Chesterfield game should go quite well, yes it's on TV but this years team seems different.
  14. It's good to see him get the outcry he deserved, in his day he was such a good player.
  15. I feel a loss, and a draw would be a setback although not a major one. A win would give a sigh of relief as I feel the playoffs is somewhere this squad needs to be aiming for, the addition signing should give the team a boost. I am hoping Roberts has been working with the forwards, so that they can get a feel for what he provides.
  16. Notts have played some good football at home, I would like to see this continue. If the pace of the game is quick, I do feel we are better at controlling the play if players like Michael Doyle slow it down at the back. I'm hoping for another win.
  17. Excellent piece on the new owners, I have been impressed by them. I think the last two owners and their families got involved too much with the fan base. When it turns sour that will always lead to issues. I hope the brothers can get some success out of their investment, but they do seem to have the clubs interest at heart and are prepared to wait.
  18. There's going to be plenty of changes, Leigh Curtis has teased this. I think it will be good for Notts to rest some players and of course mix the squad up. 2-0. Notts.
  19. I am a little concerned about the injuries to Slocombe and O'Brien, good spirited performance but the game was extremely poor.
  20. I'm hoping Dion Kelly-Evans and Nathan Tyson are available to return. These two gives Notts a lot of attacking options, plus pace. Dover will be expecting us to go for it, so they might counteract this by defensive. It could be a scrappy sort of game.
  21. I touched upon this with my thoughts on those having a meltdown over Sam Graham's injury, it's people wanting to always be right and the first one to say "I told you so". One of the main reasons why managers end up being axed because the minority seems to spread at Notts County. Leave the man to get on with his job.
  22. Yeovil tend to be a thorn in Notts side if I recall right, think we've won them a couple of times but I seem to remember them battering us. I hope Saturday, Notts lift themselves to get another 3 points.
  23. Jimmy Sirrel used to have leaders in each position, from the goal, centre back, midfield and up top. You win games by controlling the game at the back, so Notts must learn to be defensive minded. As attacking would be more promising when they know the backs covered well. Physical and hardworking is the way.
  24. 3-1 Notts is my prediction. I fear Macclesfield will win too, so that would take it all out of our hands.
