  1. I wonder how the Wrexham supporters feel about the game on Monday? If anyone tuned in to the post-match coverage on BBC Nottingham, they would have heard some valid points being made about the possible repercussions of a loss going into such a significant match. While it may not mean much, given their sizeable team and the top-level skills of their goalkeeper, Ben Foster, it is a point worth considering. In my opinion, we have the superior team and play the best level of football. Nonetheless, I anticipate a tough match for both teams. The pressure is on both sides, though somewhat more so for Wrexham after their loss to Halifax. Notts recognises how difficult it can be to rebound after a defeat when you're at the top of the league, so this game could go either way.
  2. Macaulay Langstaff won the ball back and spotted Sam Austin, who displayed his skill and technique, not only beating their defender but also carefully placing the ball beyond their keeper's reach into the back of the net.
  3. Despite knowing that Wealdstone were going through a bad patch, I still expected them to put up a good fight. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, and their travelling fans were let down by their players' performance. Nevertheless, I'm happy for Archie Mair as he played well, and Frank Vincent and Jodi Jones made a great impact on the pitch. Winning 3-0 is a fantastic result and a much-needed boost for Notts County.
  4. Well done Notts, an emotional day, but a fantastic result for all those involved with this club.
  5. For the first time in many years, I feel that the manager's decision will solely reflect on his judgment to further improve the squad. Personally, I think all the players should be offered a new deal. In my opinion, there isn't anyone who we should allow to leave. Even Frank Vincent and Jim O'Brien, who may have their doubters, I believe they still have something valuable to offer the team. It's important to give them the opportunity to continue developing with the club and contributing to our success.
  6. I would like to thank Jason for all he has done for the club, especially during those difficult days when it looked like we might not even have one. Rest in peace, Jason Turner.
  7. Over their last five games, they've lost three and only drawn one. They're going through a rough patch. It's not my style to criticise teams, but they're a bit unpredictable. They have the ability to fight back, to lead with ease and make it tough for their opponents, but they can also crumble and collapse in a way that makes it difficult to predict which side will show up against Notts.
  8. Notts managed to come away with a win, one way or another. While there may be some controversy surrounding the first goal, there's no denying that their player clearly lifted their arm up for the second goal. It's not acceptable to jump like that at any level of the game, and while some may argue that the decision was harsh, it was well within the rules. Getting three points and a clean sheet is a huge positive for the team, and I think it's a real testament to their hard work and dedication. All in all, it's a great result for Notts County.
  9. Personally, I don't use social media at all. I feel that people's lives are already too short to spend an excessive amount of time living through a screen. The real world offers much more excitement and potential for genuine human interaction. While I do enjoy reading and browsing various websites, I wouldn't invest a significant amount of time into something that I find irrelevant or that distracts me from real-life experiences. In my opinion, social media can often create an illusion of connection and engagement, but it doesn't always translate into real, meaningful relationships. Spending time in the physical world and building genuine connections with people is much more fulfilling and rewarding to me. Plus, there is so much to explore and experience in the world that it's hard to justify spending too much time online.
  10. Is it possible for Notts to play any more smoothly or attractively than they did?
  11. Although I am familiar with the faces and names of fans who have been attending games for as long as I have, or even longer, I do not associate with any fans outside of match days. The fanbase has always had a close-knit community, but I have chosen to keep a distance and be less involved. It's not that I don't appreciate the camaraderie and sense of belonging that comes with being a part of a group, but I find it more comfortable to enjoy the game on my own terms. Being a part of a community requires a level of investment and commitment that I am not always prepared to give. By choosing to keep my distance, I am able to focus solely on the game and my enjoyment of it, without the added pressures or obligations of social interaction. That being said, I still respect and admire the passion and dedication of the fans, and I feel a sense of kinship with them when we come together to support our team on match days. In the end, everyone has their own way of experiencing and engaging with their fanbase, and mine just happens to be a little more solitary.
  12. @menzinho With six games left to play, Langstaff has ample time to achieve a record-breaking feat that would stand out as one of the few major accomplishments accomplished during this campaign. The prospect of such a remarkable achievement can inspire Langstaff to continue to work tirelessly towards the goal. It is a chance for Langstaff to leave a mark and make a lasting impression, not only on the team but also on the sport itself. With determination, dedication, and hard work, Langstaff can surpass previous records and set new ones that will be remembered for years to come. This is a moment to seize and make the most of, and Langstaff is well-positioned to take full advantage of it.
  13. This season has been a rollercoaster ride for both Notts County and Wrexham, regardless of the final outcome. As a fan, I feel that it's important to recognise the effort and dedication that both teams have put in. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of supporting our favourite team, but it's equally important to appreciate the competition that has been presented to us. I've noticed that there's been a lot of negativity directed towards Wrexham, and I think it's time to put an end to it. They've had an impressive season and have done just as well as we have. While we may have experienced some setbacks due to refereeing decisions, it's important to acknowledge that it wasn't Wrexham's fault. They've worked hard and have rightfully earned their position at the top of the table. Despite the challenges we've faced this season, I believe that Notts County still has a fighting chance to secure promotion. It's crucial that we continue to push ourselves and approach each game with the mindset that we're still in the title race. Even if we don't clinch the top spot, we need to use the disappointment of falling short to motivate us during the playoffs. We have the talent and the grit to ensure that we deserve to be promoted. Let's keep cheering on the pies and believe that we can achieve great things.
  14. After last week's draw at Barnet, I was a bit apprehensive about our team's chances against Scunthorpe. However, I was relieved and proud to see them put on a strong performance. Chicksen's goal in the early minutes was a brilliant way to set the tone for the match and gave us the momentum we needed. Langstaff's two goals were well-deserved and highlighted his exceptional goal-scoring skills. Scoring 101 league goals this season is a remarkable achievement and reflects the offensive capabilities of our team. Although we're still three points behind Wrexham, if we continue to play with this level of determination, I believe we have a strong chance of catching up. COYP!
  15. It's crucial that we rally behind our team, regardless of who's playing. Sure, Scunthorpe United may be struggling at the moment, but that doesn't mean we should take it easy on them. In fact, given the current state of injuries and international duties, it's more important than ever to field our strongest squad. If Mair gets the starting nod, we should all be rooting for him to succeed. And if Langstaff starts but is nursing an injury, we need to be extra cautious and protect him as much as possible. Of course, if we find ourselves in a comfortable position, we can afford to make substitutions without jeopardising the outcome of the game. Ultimately, what matters most is that Notts County puts its best foot forward. We need to give ourselves the best chance of success, and that means fielding our strongest possible lineup. So let's all get behind the team and show our support, no matter who's on the pitch.
  16. If Notts intends to sign players today, it's crucial to prioritize a defender capable of playing both as a wing-back and in the center, along with a possible addition of another striker. Anything beyond this would be unnecessary, as it would help to mitigate the impact of Joel Taylor's departure.
  17. The defending from Notts was absolutely woeful, as they seemed to be caught in that moment and unable to communicate effectively. This led to a sense of panic and disarray amongst the players, with everyone scrambling resulting chaos that was nothing short of mayhem, with Barnet taking full advantage of the situation to score their leveller.
  18. It's not ideal for clubs to recall players from loan deals just to send them out on loan again. It can hinder a player's ability to settle and get comfortable in a team. The only time I would agree with this approach is if the loan club isn't giving the player enough playing time, as it would make sense to find a better situation for them. However, if a player is performing well and finding form, it seems counterproductive to pull them back, only to send them to another team. Of course, every situation is unique, and it's difficult to predict how it will turn out for the player. Ultimately, you have to hope that the player benefits from the decision.
  19. The game between Barnet and Notts was a tough one, with both teams having the opportunity to win. Rodrigues came close to scoring for Notts, while Barnet almost scored twice, but Brooks managed to prevent them from scoring. Despite Barnet considering Brooks as a possible weak link, the young goalkeeper performed well. Langstaff's goal was a huge relief for Notts, but their performance as a team was not up to their usual standard at Meadow Lane. Overall, I don't feel like we were that bad, but I do believe that Wrexham will now win the title.
  20. Adam Chicksen's extended one-year contract has proven to be a brilliant decision as he has become a crucial player for Notts this season. His consistency and reliability on and off the pitch have made him one of the first names on the team sheet for Luke Williams. Chicksen's talent and dedication have been instrumental in helping the Magpies push towards their goal of returning to the Football League.
  21. I am delighted to hear about the club's latest signing, Junior Morias. This addition to our team strengthens our attacking options and shows the club's commitment to building a competitive squad that can achieve future success. Morias impressive goal tally of 23 goals in during his time at Dagenham and Redbridge make him a valuable asset to our team. Although Morias is currently sidelined with a short-term injury, I believe the club has long-term plans at hand with him. I can't wait to see him on the field in the Notts County shirt. I appreciate Notts County boss Luke Williams emphasis on giving Morias the time and support he needs to adapt to the physical and mental demands of playing at Meadow Lane. With his speed and skill, I expect Morias to make a significant impact on the team's fortunes, and I have no doubt that he will become a valuable asset for the Magpies. I look forward to seeing him help lead us to success in the future.
  22. I was ecstatic about Notts County's 3-1 victory over Eastleigh. The match was a true test of the team's grit and determination, with both sides going for it, but I felt Eastleigh went in harder with rough challenges. However, the players showed incredible courage and never-give-up attitude in the second half to secure the win. One player who truly shone in this match was Rodrigues. He was an unstoppable force on the field and played a critical role in securing the victory for Notts County. His talent and skill were evident throughout the match, and it's clear that he has the potential to be a game-changer in future matches. Another player who caught my attention was Sam Austin. He was constantly on the move and never stopped running forward or being direct in his approach to the game. He was a constant menace for the opposition and made a significant impact on the match. I strongly believe that he should be given more playing time to help contribute to the team's success.
  23. In my view, while Eastleigh is a good team, I don't think they will be able to match Notts County's quality in this upcoming match. Notts has demonstrated great skill and proficiency in their previous games, and with the added advantage of playing at home, I believe they will emerge victorious. That being said, I am not entirely dismissive of Eastleigh's potential. Every team has their strengths and weaknesses, and Eastleigh has shown in the past that they can be a formidable opponent. However, I think their playing style might work against them in this match. Their tendency to wait for chances to strike rather than being proactive might play into Notts hands, allowing them to dictate the pace of the game and create opportunities.
  24. Best for both parties considering, good luck to Joel.
  25. It's disappointing to see Wrexham being awarded soft penalties and diving, as well as fouling the opposition keeper to win games. Such biased decisions are less about luck and more about unfair advantages to help them achieve their desired results. It's only fair that some of the remaining teams have the opportunity to face triumph and win against Wrexham, as they don't deserve the high praise they're receiving. Let's hope that justice prevails and the beautiful game of football is played with integrity and fairness.
