I saw his photo the other day when he was discharged from hospital after a long illness.He didn't look very well then.Still,very sad news.He was always very entertaining ,whether performing or being interviewed.Unlike some of the other seasonal songs we'll be hearing over the few weeks I won't get tired of listening to Fairy tale of New York.Rest in peace Shane MacGowan.

I also use the first 5 letter word that pops into my head but try not to have repeated letters.I think the odds on anyone getting a guess correct first time are about the same as me becoming a florest fan. Wordle brain exercise can be very annoying when getting a good start then finding there are loads of alternative answers that fit for the next attempt.It's just a lottery then as to whether Wordle is solved next go or not at all.

A lot of fans from the goalies perspective would be incensed, especially in real time and from a distance but I think most fans don't like their players to play act.Even more so when found out.If it had been any Notts player confronting a goalie in a similar way and the ref had disallowed the goal I imagine Notts fans would be infuriated.

It's time this kind of behaviour was stopped by players.The ref is in a can't win situation.There was barely any contact on the goalie but as @DangerousSausage says he went down like a sack of spuds .Another ref could have given the attacker a yellow card or even a red, depriving his team of his services.Unsporting , verging on cheating.How many times have we seen on TV a player fall to the ground, rolling around after a tackle, holding a part of their anatomy ,only for replays to show there was no contact at all.The goalie should get an oscar.

Both Notts and the Rams have come too close to extinction too many times.During the Munto fiasco and most recently, before the Reedtz brothers takeover, for Notts was extremely worrying.Derby had a winding up order lifted at the last minute in the 1980's and after then owner Mel Morris placed us in administration were again only hours away from being destroyed when current owner David Clowes saved us.So yes @Piethagoram the most important thing is that we all have a club to support and PoN has survived the hacking thanks to the efforts of @Chris,outside help and site members. I hope Notts can continue to keep me interested in the FA cup(least said about my clubs exit the better) and I wish my 2nd team more success in the league too. Congratulations @Piethagoram you deserve an award for your constant interesting posts of topics,both Notts and non football. As for myself,well I'm very grateful to be even considered for a nomination but I can think of several members who deserve it more.. This year has been very difficult for my family and PoN. Firstly with the loss of @GrannyPie and more recently the senseless site hacking attack.So I'd just like to thank all you members for your support and just ask for your continued efforts in making PoN the site it is becoming.Thank you all.Now get posting!!!!

Whenever I've seen Chicksen play,(admittedly only on TV)I always get the feeling there is so much more to come from him.There's no doubting his enthusiasm and effort though and he could be part of what Notts have been missing.
