  1. It would be a nice to see Macca score his first league hat-trick. His current form is impressive, and his relentless running on the pitch is a significant factor in this. His constant movement not only showcases his physical prowess but also his tactical understanding of the game. It disrupts the opponents’ defensive formations and creates opportunities for his team. Walsall, on the other hand, is a team that shouldn’t be underestimated. Despite their current standing in the league table, they possess the potential to pose a formidable challenge. Teams often grow and evolve throughout the season, and their current position might not fully reflect their capabilities. The progression of the match could be gradual, with both teams taking time to gauge each other’s strategies and adapt accordingly. The second half of the match could be the turning point. This is often the case in football, as the teams would have had the chance to regroup and strategise during the half-time break. Player fitness will undoubtedly play a crucial role in this match.
  2. Owning our assets would be great, but it depends on the costs involved. Having our own training ground could lead to extra maintenance expenses. Coexisting might be more beneficial. As long as we have a home at Meadow Lane and a good standard training ground, I’m content.
  3. The goal was superbly timed and executed. He managed to skillfully direct the ball into the net, out of the goalkeeper’s reach.
  4. It’s encouraging to hold high expectations for our young players. I was quite taken with their performances in the pre-season. I extend my best wishes to James Sanderson. His debut is something he won’t easily forget.
  5. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @TT1970.
  6. Norwich City 1-1 Preston North End Rotherham United 0-2 Swansea City Exeter City 1-0 Port Vale Wigan Athletic 2-0 Lincoln City Joker Wycombe Wanderers 0-1 Shrewsbury Town AFC Wimbledon 2-2 Swindon Town Sutton United 0-1 Harrogate Town Tranmere Rovers 1-0 Newport County
  7. Refreshing to witness this determination in adversity. Notts County's defence definitely needs some shaping up, and it seems like Cameron is buckling down to ensure a shift in dynamics. The fact that this is being treated as a collective responsibility speaks volume about the team's character. This is definitely a crucial game for us, and all eyes will be on Cameron and the team. All the best, lads, we have faith in you.
  8. Steve Cherry, Trevor Christie, Steve Chettle, Ishmel Demontagnac, Paul Devlin, David Grof. All ex players who have played for Walsall.
  9. It’s inevitable, as much as I dislike admitting it. When there’s profit to be made, the larger media outlets won’t be pleased and will want to keep people in check. It wouldn’t shock me if they start banning some of the more prominent vlogging channels. I don’t condone it, but I can’t say I’m surprised.
  10. Picture witnessing that goal in real time. I’m willing to bet that even the Coventry fans rose to their feet in admiration.
  11. The present moment is what truly counts. If people return, that’s wonderful, but if they don’t, that’s fine too. As long as we maintain a friendly, engaging, and pleasant environment, new members will join and the site will thrive.
  12. This site is enriched by so many wonderful contributors, kudos to both of you! I won’t mention either of you by name, but please know that I thoroughly enjoy reading the content you both share.

  15. Hello, welcome to the site. I hope you have fun here on PON @Callumpie.
  16. The enthusiasm that Williams shows for nurturing young talents like James Sanderson is great to see. I believe the faith that he has in his players and his proactive measures will indeed result in a prosperous season for Notts
  17. There’s a great prospect within the academy, and I hope we can give more game time to the young lads. The academy is doing a fantastic job bringing players through, we just need to put them in the game.
  18. Wendy’s passion for Notts County is the kind that has helped us navigate numerous challenges. Her enthusiasm for the game, coupled with her commitment to a cause, serves as a shining example for all of us. It’s not just about engaging in football, but also about actively participating in society and making a difference. Wendy’s extraordinary fandom goes beyond cheering from the stands; it extends into her community, where she uses her love for the club to drive charitable efforts. Well done to Wendy for embodying what it truly means to be a fan!
  19. Notts certainly made it harder for themselves, showing resilience to level the score but repeating the same errors that initially gave Wimbledon the lead. Notts’ defence was lacking throughout the match, with too much dependence on Sam Slocombe to pull off a rescue act. We need to see more urgency in defence when teams figure out how to breach our back three. Also, there’s no disputing that penalty - Crowley clearly held onto the Wimbledon player. But Notts do need to improve their defence of set pieces.
  20. Rest in Peace, Terry Venables. Grateful for all the memories.
  21. I’ve cast my votes in both categories, wishing everyone the very best. It’s lovely to see this back.
  22. Having a high possession percentage doesn’t necessarily translate into success if it doesn’t lead to goal-scoring opportunities. I agree that at Meadow Lane, we seem more adept at breaking down teams, but we need to utilise the ball better and control the game. Macaulay Langstaff is starting to score regularly now, and I can’t help but feel we should be making things easier for him in attack and more solid when it comes to defending.
  23. Hello, @Darryl Chapman. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. Its good to have you on board.
  24. Davies was a joy to watch on the pitch. I wish he could have stayed with us for a longer period, but I don’t hold his decision to move to Derby County against him. At least he was transferred for a fee, which prevented us from losing out entirely.
  25. Crowley’s openness in expressing his love for playing in Notts and his connection with the home crowd is impressive. It’s clear that he thrives in this supportive environment. His contribution to the team is invaluable, he’s incredibly talented with an extraordinary goal-scoring record and the ability to inspire his teammates.
