A good footballer will score goals in this Notts squad. It is about ability and if they can understand our play well enough to create chances. He seems very athletic and strong. I am not very interested in his previous record. I am only concerned about how he will perform at Notts. It is a loan, so if he does not commit or do well, we lose nothing. But we could gain if he does thrive in our environment.

He seems switched on and ready to start playing for our first team. Notts is a great club to learn and get experience. He seemed very good, so I hope he enjoys his time here. His first game at Meadow Lane will show him what our fans are like.

George Abbott is a good loan signing. We can help him play for the first team. If he does well, he can go back to Spurs or find another club to play for. He seems very talented and should do well.

If we play well and get chances, we can win against Swindon. They are having a hard time under their manager. I am sure they will improve, but hopefully not today. If Notts wins, it will start a good streak. We need to score important goals first.

Lewis Macari has done very well since he came to Notts. Now he can play every week, which is good for him. He is one of our best tacklers and is also good going forward. I am glad he is enjoying his time at Meadow Lane. Notts will take good care of him and I hope his talent continues to grow.

It might mean Millwall could be tempted to list him for transfer, so a loan move until January could be very possible. This is assuming they get the striker, or they might try to play both. I don't know how strong the attacking department is at Millwall, but it doesn't seem good to spend money on a striker who could already be replaced in the same season he was purchased.

This season, the MAGnets topic is returning, but this time, the focus will only be on away games and cup matches where the possibility of playing the same team again this season is unlikely. This Saturday, Notts will travel to the County Ground to play Swindon Town. I will start with Colin Calderwood. A defender who began his career with Mansfield, then moved to Swindon Town in 1985. He became a regular Premier League centre-back before moving to our neighbours across the river [Forest]. He came on loan to Notts in the same season, 2001, making five appearances. Let's stick to naming one at a time for now, please. So, we can see how many members can contribute to this. Here is the match discussion too. For me, it's not a difficult choice at all. I think next month it will be harder if we continue to do well, especially to see some defenders named. However, I think my choice is very straightforward.

Everything has a knock-on effect. It affects Non-League. The trend of supporting a local club like Hucknall Town or Basford United comes from the increasing price of football. So, I think it's natural that our neighbours status would benefit Notts. It's better for Nottingham this way.

Rest in peace. It's very sad to hear that he has passed away. My thoughts go out to his family and friends. It must be a difficult time for them. It looked like Sven had accepted it and made the most of his remaining time. Bless him.

Just like hot dogs, not all are the same quality, but they can be very nice. When Nottingham has the festive market, I like to buy one sometimes. But they are much more expensive here. I think it was about £10! I also want to have donuts in the KOP. I wouldn't leave because I would eat as many as I could.

Sven-Göran Eriksson's contribution to Notts County was truly unforgettable. He brought hope and ambition to the club. His time at Meadow Lane was short, but it shows how good he is. I am thankful he didn't hold the club responsible for his wages. It could have ruined the club.

I never liked him. I thought he could be a dirty striker and overly physical. It’s not terrible news that he is retiring, but I would say good luck nonetheless.

I like how the women’s team has a clear pathway into the first team. These youngsters could be the future of the main team, and that is impressive. I hope they continue with their success because it’s encouraging.

Jatta will get goals. He proved himself last season, and I think he deserves to be the starting option up front. David McGoldrick will contribute, but Jatta is the long-term future and is getting those important goals for us. He has a knack for cropping up when we need a goal, so I hope he continues to do well.

I felt happy for him when he joined Burton after leaving us. Some fans felt disappointed because we had taken care of him during his injury. They had hoped he would stay, but I wasn’t as bothered about him leaving. It is sad to see him suffer another injury that keeps him out for another season. It’s not good news!

I hope he is comfortable putting his neck on the line defensively and isn’t afraid to get his picture taken in the process. Lucas Ness looks like a quality player. I am happy we haven’t settled with just what we have. Although I don’t think we needed another arrival in this area, I am more than happy to welcome him, especially since he will strengthen us.

It’s great to read about Tom Keetley and learn more about his time at Notts County and as a player. His goal tally is very impressive. He clearly understood what worked and how to score. It would be interesting to know about the squads he played in and how they impacted his ability. I don’t know much about his era of football, but I’m sure I will learn more. I agree he’s a true Notts legend.

My last blog currently has 1,225 views, 3 comments, and 4 interactions. Since then, I believe the club has evolved significantly, and the summer signings have certainly made Notts much more solid. Having a strong defence should lead to more creativity upfront and the ability to handle the opposition, as Notts did against Tranmere Rovers and Grimsby Town early on. This makes me believe that, with time, our back line could improve significantly. While results will ultimately tell, the signs are promising. Notts have never looked more creative than they do with Jodi Jones in the team. He has been improving game by game, and his goal against Grimsby Town should benefit the players around him. I have seen comments from negative fans suggesting that Notts only performed well because they were on television. I don’t believe the players would act like that. We have been showing signs of improvement, even though it is only three games into the season. I don’t think Jones is playing to attract interest; he is playing for his own pride and the kit he wears. While I agree with the sentiments expressed here, I think Macaulay Langstaff has been such a huge part of the last two seasons that fans will naturally post and mention him. Although, it seems a little strange to talk about him instead of Notts. I admit he is still a talking point. I personally look out to see if he plays or has scored his first goal. Hopefully, the fans who still feel bitter about him leaving have gotten over it. However, some of our fans will continue to discuss him because of how relevant he has been. It's easy to say that he's not relevant now, but he's been the closest goalscorer we have had in years to beating the club's all-time record, which is held by Les Bradd with 125 goals. Macca has 70 goals, Mark Stallard is ahead with just six more goals, and Lee Hughes sits on 67, according to transfermarkt.co.uk. This is in two seasons, compared to around 11, 5, and 4 seasons respectively. So, naturally, he will be a talking point, but fans should also focus on Notts. Notts has truly gone international, but let’s not forget about our overseas supporters who watch the games live in various locations across the globe! If we were impressed watching the Grimsby game unfold, imagine how our exiles and overseas fans felt about the game! While it might not be the same, Sky Sports certainly has an impact from the fans’ perspective with them changing game dates and kick-off times. There’s one bonus: when Notts performs so well, not only do we get excited by the prospects, but our international friends can show their support by watching the games. Being broadcast in America via CBS might encourage more people in the States to adopt Notts as their club, especially with all the hype surrounding “Welcome to Wrexham”. Plus, the money Sky pays EFL clubs must have some impact on how clubs can operate. Did I just see a glimpse of the Pride of Nottingham gaffer, Chris, near the end of the video? It’s great to see him back to his best! The atmosphere was very good against Grimsby; it felt electric and is something we, as fans, can build on. I was impressed by my visit to Tranmere Rovers. We made an incredible amount of noise, silencing their fans. Yet at Fleetwood, I could feel the tension. This was before Fleetwood had scored, so I can imagine it was tense for the players too. Seeing the KOP, Family, and Pavis Stands react to the goals scored by Notts made it even better. The sense of excitement and seeing the players fully in control against a team that can’t be dismissed as one of our rivals was fantastic. Can we move beyond the doubt and finally get behind Stuart Maynard? I get that some fans are unsure, and others are just negative for the sake of it. Yet, if we can, as a majority, finally get behind Stuart Maynard, we might start to see continued improvements. I wouldn’t be able to guess how much of our fan base is on board with Maynard. It seems much more than last season, but on social media, I still see fans easily criticising him despite more positive impressions, such as the opening day’s defending against Tranmere Rovers. All managers are learning, thinking, and doing their best. He took over from someone most fans regard as the best manager for a decade in Luke Williams, but we need to rally behind him. The board showed courage when fans were more vocal due to the string of poor performances and defeats, but in truth, this was never fully on his shoulders. Let’s get behind him. I want to see the KOP and away fans chant Stuart Maynard’s name. Can we see what effect this has? Embrace him and hope he can take us up to League One, as we don’t have anything to lose. Despite my thoughts on those who dislike Stuart Maynard and seem dead against him, let’s not separate our fan base by labelling areas. There will always be an element of fans who are quick to boo. Some will have the club’s intentions at heart, and others are simply short-term focused. The main thing is the bigger picture, so I think for the long term, and that’s the way I believe the majority of fans should strive, especially if they want the club to have a future. Singling out fans is a bit petty and needless. It doesn’t reflect well on the performance the club puts together. If anything, it creates a division among the fans. I agree with the principles that Notts are showing signs of improvement after the time we had with Luke Williams, but even Williams showed signs of improvement over Ian Burchnall and Neal Ardley. The positivity towards Maynard is great, especially pointing out how fantastic the football on the pitch was. It makes the pitch feel even more like a place to showcase Notts at their very best, and every player looked capable of helping the club to promotion. But let’s stick with being behind each other. I agree with Stuart Maynard, Dan Crowley was incredible, as were Jodi Jones and Curtis Edwards. Those three ran the show for us, and it was impressive to see how well we performed as a squad. If Notts can keep getting good results against the bigger clubs favoured for promotion, it will prove wrong those who think we are relegation candidates. Notts did not perform like that, but Grimsby Town did.
