  1. The tweet exposes Claire's misunderstanding of the oil and gas industry "Why? We won’t stop needing oil and gas - we’ll just import it instead." North Sea oil and gas are sold directly on to international markets. It is not ring fenced for the UK!
  2. @Robbie"This government now owns the fact that they allowed the lady coal fired power station to close." The last coal train to the power station was under the last Tory government. So nothing to do with the current government Spain invested in nuclear, have extensive inland wind turbine farms. Spot the difference why Spain has lower energy prices!
  3. Have been in Staffordshire /Derbyshire moorlands for years Wallabies page The Roaches Peak District. WWW.ROACHES.ORG.UK
  4. I think we are straying off course.... most football clubs in general rely on financial backing from the chairman. The wealth of the Premier League distorts the overall picture. The point I am making is that ambitious clubs at the lower end of the footballing pyramid, shows that if Oxford City are in National League North!, then the wealth of the country is located in London and the South / Southeast. Bishops Stortford were in NLN the previous season. I rest my case!
  5. The big tragedy too is the failure to build reservoirs, to help prevent flooding in the well known flooding locations
  6. Harking back to the Sirrel and Wilkinson era. The quote was always "You have nothing to fear, provided you have control of the ball."
  7. Bass is brewing something good
  8. Dear @Robbie Lets be clear "It's a sad day as far as I'm concerned with this coal fired power station closing, when we are having to import electricity from abroad at peak times" This is because : The Tory government over the past 14 years dithered on nuclear power and failed to build wind turbines inshore / on land because of nimbyism. These policies have let the country down big time. Again, the closing of the blast furnaces at Port Talbot hasnt been flagged for donkeys years. Other European countries protected their steel industries by moving to electric arc furnaces. The last UK government of 14 years just sat on their hands and watched Port Talbot employees just lose their jobs.
  9. Ex Notts loanees Josh Vela and Ben Barclay too
  10. Jatta's positioning on a Notts goal kick has been undetected by most this season. He stands beyond the last defender and when Bass gets the length of the goal kick right, Jatta is in on a 1 on 1 position with the opposition keeper.
  11. #waffle985 5/5 streak: 174 #wafflemaster wafflegame.net
  12. "North of Watford" has always had a geographic context, though whether it meant Watford Herts or the Watford Gap service station on the original M1 , always caused some debate Currently, I would offer Oxford City...who play in National League North The wealth of the country does appear to be concentrated in the South!
