Let's be honest, during my lifetime, the club has been "for sale" for long periods... Pavis tried to sell but there were no buyers! Even more recently, the Trews found "buyers" difficult to find and we ended up with Hardy. The fact that we are the world's oldest professional club isn't really an economic/financial business selling point. Look at Rotherham, naming their ground New York Stadium, didn't really spark one iota of American interest nor investment? We currently have the best owners we could wish for, ones where sustainability means funding losses of £1m -£1.5m is not putting the Club at unsustainable economic risk My one criticism is has the playing budget for this season been misallocated? GK especially.

Despite the Guardian TV review headline, from watching the programme, I don't pity the footballers involved. The choice of the individual is to pay the tax the tax due, not look for schemes being touted by financial advisers which may come back to bite you at a later date...where in fact it has! The initial "tax break" money has been spent. They could have put it in a bank account as a "provision".

The cascade of quality footballers down to EFL2 level, even well thought of players , playing in Scandinavia, struggle to find their feet at EFL2 level. My abiding memory of Edwards would be the unnecessary back pass at Shrewsbury in the League Cup last season, which got the latter back into the game.
