  3. Good for both parties
  4. Key point "Chelsea's strategy is entirely within Premier League rules. Uefa has more stringent rules and it remains to be seen whether European football's governing body considers any action."
  5. @DangerousSausage A Football Regulator may rule to allow PL overseas TV income to be allowed into the distribution pot! EFL 3 should replace the NL.'s top division, using a proportion of said money. Maybe the only way is to have a financial points penalty for every £m of loss. With financial accounts working in arrears, the points penalty would be effective in the 2nd season, following the publication at Companies House. I would be in favour of EFL accepting management accounts from clubs during the season, so points deduction would happen that season, with severe penalties to Directors for signing off misinformation.
  6. A comprehensive fuller form of accounts. Carlisle return a profit last financial year, .... looks like they are heading downwards, just like Notts when they had one of the EFL2 largest budgets under Hardy. It's how wisely you spend the money!

  8. Key quote: "One of the clubs who look set to claim one of the League One play-off spots Barnsley had been hoping for this season are newly-promoted Stockport County. They lost over £7m in 2023-24, but owner Mark Stott injected £11m in the form of new shares during their League Two-winning campaign.
  9. To me, this is a strong financial performance, given that I believe they have £500k lease costs to pay each season

  10. Tentatively, Ade Akinbiyi joined #Notts having played for Houston Dynamo. Can't think of any US born Notts players at the moment. There was Marcus Haber but he was Canadian
  11. @gtownjohnno Just prior to Wembley, Luke said come what may, he would be looking at how the players handle the "pressure" I was left completely baffled when Sam was issued with a new contract!
  12. @liampie Even at Newport, there was a moment when Slocombe had the ball at his feet, my heart was experiencing palpitations! I think he is being signed as a #1 keeper.

  14. @TheSkipper"It’s just a pity he didn’t get the hat-trick," Why oh why didn't Palmer allow Whitaker to take the free kick on the edge of the D?
  15. 80 – Shaun Brisley’s career as a pro and scoring at Wembley – Congleton Town FC CTFC.CLUB Especially for @Chris.... Duffy, Brisley, Dickinson all at Congleton Town...what could possibly go wrong?

  18. Pools Announce New Management Team – Hartlepool United WWW.HARTLEPOOLUNITED.CO.UK Darren Sarll brought in Carl Dickinson as 1st team coach in June 2024. By November 2024, Lennie Lawrence moved Carl to a strength and conditioning role? Unsure whether he is still at Hartlepool? Edit...as an aside, Duffy is manager at Congleton Town!
