New shirt
It’s not really my style, but it does look good on Platt and Bedeau. I reckon lots of fans will like it. I’m not really into wearing shirts unless they’re the classic black and white. That’s more my thing. These days, I tend to wear the older shirts. Even if I get one from the new season, I don’t always wear it straight away. The club hasn’t made any bad shirts to be fair. They’re just not always what I go for.

Notts County Name Martin Paterson as Head Coach in Ambitious Club Restructure
I’ve supported Notts County long enough to know I can’t just follow how I feel. I have to think with my heart but also use my head. The new technical board is the bright side I’m focusing on. There’s no point getting too upset that another unknown has been picked. It’s fine to be disappointed, but still back the club. If you can’t do that, it makes you wonder why you support any team at all. You’ve got to stick with them through ups and downs. We need to keep our priorities clear. Everyone coming in deserves a fair go.

Sam Austin: "The Magic of the FA Cup Is Alive and Well"
Hearing Sam talk about the draw and his memories with Kidderminster is fantastic. You can tell he understands the emotional pull of the FA Cup. He’s spot on about needing confidence against tougher teams and the importance of fan support. It’s clear this squad is prepared and motivated.

Jevani Brown Praises Meadow Lane Fans and Shares Ambitions for Promotion Push
Good to hear Jevani enjoying the Notts style of play! His mention of the possession style made me realise just how much control we’ve got. I think it’s the kind of play that suits him perfectly. Hopefully, as he says, it’s just about getting that consistency now. I’ve got my fingers crossed for him, he’s got potential, and with time he can deliver.

Matty Platt's 67th-Minute Heroics Seal 1-0 Triumph for Notts Against AFC Wimbledon
That match showed a lot about the character of this team. We weren’t at our best, but the defensive shape was excellent, and Wimbledon struggled to break us down. It’s great to see the team adapting to different challenges. We couldn’t find our rhythm at times, but the lads stayed focused and got the job done. It’s not always about dominating possession or creating loads of chances, sometimes it’s just about doing the basics right. That’s exactly what we did today. We’ve been scoring a lot this season, but it’s wins like this that can be just as important.

Stuart Maynard Hails Grit After Notts County's Hard-Fought 1-0 Win Over AFC Wimbledon
Maynard hit the nail on the head when he said it was an 'ugly' win. AFC Wimbledon made it difficult from the start, and it wasn’t a match filled with flair or creativity. But sometimes, that’s what you need in League Two. A clean sheet, a scrappy set-piece goal, and showing grit is what gets you through these tough fixtures. Really pleased to see us come through this one, especially with our defensive efforts.

Match Report: McGoldrick’s Last-Minute Heroics Secure Dramatic Draw for Notts in Derby Thriller
Tough match but some positive takeaways, I think. We played with great intensity, which is always encouraging to see. It’s clear that the team has a strong foundation, and while we didn’t manage to get the win, I feel we’re getting closer to where we need to be. Chesterfield was strong defensively, and a few calls didn’t go our way, which was frustrating. I loved the effort from players like Crowley and Abbott, you could see they were giving everything. The season’s still young, so I’m optimistic. If we keep playing like this, the wins will come.

Opposition View: Liam Cole on Carlisle United’s Rebuild Under Mike Williamson and Facing Notts County
A brilliant read, Liam! Carlisle United's recent games under Williamson sound like they’ve brought renewed energy to the team. For Notts County fans, it’s exciting yet nerve-racking to see how we match up. Our defence needs to remain vigilant, especially against players like Jordan Jones and Charlie Wyke. Liam mentioned their Jekyll-and-Hyde nature, so consistency will be key for both sides. It’s also lovely to hear about the atmosphere at Brunton Park and how the fans are preparing for this match. The passion of the fans is something that always adds to the spectacle.

Could He Be Successful Today?
I can see him being more of a head coach than an actual manager, and I think he would be fantastic at it. He knows what it takes to make players perform together. His hands-on approach in training should earn the respect of players. He’s knowledgeable and had a great understanding of how teams played. Certainly, I feel he could have adapted to be a very good head coach in modern football. To what extent? I am not sure, but I think there’s no denying the qualities that Jimmy Sirrel had.

Match Discussion: Game 7 - The Gills (H)
he Notts vs Gillingham match could end in a draw, given Gillingham’s strong defence and high expectations for this game. I can see why some Notts fans expect a challenging match; Gillingham is a formidable opponent. However, Notts has shown impressive form and attacking prowess, which could lead to a high-scoring game. The uncertainty around Gillingham’s injuries and the potential for unnecessary mistakes at the back by Notts could balance the game, making a draw a likely outcome.

Notts County’s Unpredictability Key to Success, Says Stuart Maynard Before Gillingham FC Test
The way Maynard has got the team playing is just brilliant. Each game brings something new, and that unpredictability makes us a real threat. The resilience shown in the Bromley game was something special. Going behind and then pulling it back showcased the team’s character. I'm particularly impressed with how everyone is chipping in with goals. It's not all on one player's shoulders, which makes us harder to defend against. Looking at our upcoming fixture against Gillingham, I feel we have the upper hand. They might be good defensively, but our attacking dynamism could break through.
