  1. Port Vale away will be a tough challenge, but we’re heading into the game with confidence. Defensively, we have improved significantly from earlier in the season, and it’s showing in our recent performances. Maynard’s advice about keeping clean sheets has been crucial to our success. The injuries to key players like Jones and McGoldrick are worrying, but the depth in our squad is being tested, and players like Whittaker stepping up is encouraging. Facing Port Vale, it's vital we maintain our defensive shape and seize our chances. We need to start strongly, control the midfield, and focus on being creative. Vale has had their struggles defensively, and if we play our game right, I believe we can come away with a positive result. I agree this match will be a big test for Alex Bass and Alassana Jatta, and I’m optimistic about our chances.
  2. Really impressed with how solid we’ve become. Defensively, we look miles better than earlier in the season, and it’s paying off. Maynard’s right, if you keep clean sheets, you always give yourself a chance to win. That’s been key to this run we’re on. The injuries are a concern, though. Jones is so important in the final third, and McGoldrick’s experience is invaluable. Hopefully, we get good news on them soon. The depth in the squad is being tested, but players like Whittaker stepping up is exactly what we need. Port Vale away will be tough, but we’re playing with confidence. If we keep our defensive shape and take our chances, I fancy us to get a result.
  3. A very interesting signing! Always good to see us looking at different markets, and Norway has produced some great players over the years. Traore has experience in a competitive league, and his record in Sweden shows he knows how to find the net. The club clearly sees potential in him, and I like that we’re thinking long-term. The biggest question will be how quickly he adapts to English football, but he’s got the physicality and technical ability to do well. If he can add goals to our side, this could be a brilliant bit of business.
  4. Massive credit to Maynard and the lads for this one. The away form we’re showing is incredible, four wins on the bounce is a serious statement. We’ve got a real balance in the team now. McGoldrick and Jatta are leading the line brilliantly, but it’s also about the work being done behind them. The midfield controlled things well, and I liked how Whittaker slotted in. We’re also looking more dangerous from set-pieces, which is something we’ve lacked in recent seasons. Thought we might regret not getting a third when Gillingham pushed late on, but credit to the defence, they saw it out. These are the kind of results that build momentum.
  5. To go from working on construction sites to playing in the Europa League is something many would never imagine. Curtis Edwards’ journey in football is a true inspiration. He didn’t have an easy start, but his move to Sweden and success in Europe really turned things around for him. You can see the determination in his game, and he’s now bringing that quality to Notts. We’ve already seen glimpses of his class on the pitch, and I’m excited to see what else he can bring. Notts has certainly signed someone with a wealth of experience, and I think that’s invaluable for our promotion push.
  6. Hard-fought win, but we deserved it! We looked the better side first half, controlled the ball well and took our chances. Tsaroulla’s header was excellent, and McGoldrick’s goal came at the perfect time. Gillingham were much stronger second half, and that late goal made it a bit too nervy for my liking. Fair play to our defence, though, they stood up to the pressure and saw it out. Bass was solid, and I thought Palmer was outstanding in midfield. Need to be a bit more clinical when we get chances to kill the game off, but overall, really happy with another away win.
  7. Having Curtis Edwards back is massive for us. He adds something different in midfield, and you could see that straight away when he came on. It wasn’t the easiest game to step into, but he got stuck in, worked hard, and helped us see out an important win. The fact he’s been out for so long and still looked that sharp says a lot about how well he’s been working behind the scenes. If he can get back to full match fitness quickly, we’ve got a real team player here. Great to see him back!
  8. Hard-fought win against a tricky side. Notts looked comfortable, but we should’ve had that penalty! It also might not have been pretty to watch, but at least we are grinding out the wins. On to the next one.
  9. Maynard is right to stress resilience against a side like Colchester. Their defensive record shows they’re tough to break down, and our squad will need to be sharp. Injuries have been a challenge, but it’s good news about Platt and Abbott. Crowley’s absence has been noticeable, especially in games where we needed that spark of creativity. If we can control the midfield and take our chances, I’m confident we’ll get the result we need. Fans backing the team will be crucial in making the difference.

  12. Peterborough United looked strong in attack but reminded me of last season's Notts defensively. They were quite poor at the back, and their goalkeeper seemed clumsy and easily beaten. This isn't to take away from our efforts, but he looked awful.
  13. 76 today! Happy birthday to the man who brought passion and fight to our club. Neil, you’ll always be remembered for the incredible job you did during your time here.
  14. I have to give credit to the players for their fight, especially Abbott with that absolute screamer at the end. But I can’t help feeling disappointed again with the defensive side of things. Peterborough didn’t have to work too hard for some of their goals. Both of Ricky-Jade Jones’s strikes came from moments where we just switched off.
  15. It's easy to see the number 1,950 and feel disheartened, but for us, it's like a badge of honour, testament to decades spent battling it out. We might have more defeats, but think of the memories made: the thrilling clashes, surprising upsets, and those moments of near victories that kept us all on the edge of our seats. Despite these setbacks, we've been here, pushing on and dreaming bigger. With club management turning a new leaf, hopefully, these long memories will only serve as inspiration. Here's to turning those numbers around, cheering on more wins, and creating newer victories. We've seen tougher days, so let's welcome the change. The Only Way is Up for the Pies!
