  1. Today the rain tried today to scupper all activities and failed 🙃. From face painting to climbing to pottery to painting and badminton all was accomplished successfully without duress. Even persuaded a squirrel (one of many) to come close enough for a little chat and feed. The evening finished off with a perfect Indian takeaway and a quiz, who could want for more 😋. Home tomorrow morning after picking up the doggies. A lovely family break for one and all. ✨️
  2. Lovely day here today, played badminton followed by table tennis, slightly worse for wear but where there's a will there's a way. 🥵😁 Had the privilege of seeing Santa and his enterage, the kids loved it.
  3. Glad to hear all went well @Fan of Big Tone all the best for your recovery. Monday the 1st meeting up family to go into Centre Parcs for the week. Looking forward to some peace and quiet but I don't think that will be forthcoming. Tuesday and the rain has gone, what a beautiful morning, we could be anywhere in the world. Birds, squirrels, moorhens and ducks in abundance. We have a fantastic view from our bedroom, Forestry galore. Nice walk to the dome this morning for water indulgence and entertainment. This place is wonderful and all ready for Christmas, with Santa and his Raindeer, elves and lots of parafanalia for this time of year.
  4. Not our best game, but coming away with 3 points is priceless. Having some of the luck go our way for a change was good (They had 3 shots hit the woodwork) and we battled for the victory. A crucial moment came from our second half substitutions made at the right time, fresh legs of Gordon and Dennis proved positive. The whole game was a hard watch but who cares when we do the business. COYP
  5. I agree with both @Fan of Big Tone and @McPie the proverbial door is now open. So if the bench regulars are keen enough and want it this is a perfect opportunity for them to shine, make a statement to the gaffer so he has to play them. Good luck one and all. ⚽️✨️
  6. Thank you Chris for all your hard work, it really is much appreciated. 👍👌👏
  7. Bonjour mon amis le time to engage ones brain 🧠 Derby County 3 v 0 Watford Ipswich Town 1 v 1 Wrexham 🃏 Bolton Wanderers 1 v 2 Bradford City Mansfield Town 2 v 0 Huddersfield Town Crawley Town 2 v 2 Accrington Stanley Crewe Alexandra 1 v 1 Chesterfield Eastleigh 1 v 3 Hartlepool United Morecambe 0 v 1 Yeovil Town That concludes the voting from chez moi. 😁💥
  8. @Robbie I'm pleased that Notts managed to get a point out of this game. We have seen games such as this one at Meadow Lane end in defeat. I totally agree with @Robbie as we didnt turn up today unfortunately. The lack of energy and enthusiasm in the first half was confusing especially after such a gritty and dogged performance on Monday. Big boot syndrome from Roos didnt help matters as no one was feeding off Jatta in the first half therefore once again wasting posession and giving them an easy ride. I thought we rallied a little in the second half and when substitutions were made that midfield solidity returned. All in all not bad.
  9. Here comes the Chatenuga Choo Choo 🚆 Burton Albion 2 v 2 Blackpool Luton Town 1 v 2 Rotherham United Accrington Stanley 1 v 0 Bristol Rovers Cambridge United 1 v 0 Barnet 🃏 Grimsby Town 2 v 2 Chesterfield Braintree Town 3 v 0 Truro City Hartlepool United 2 v 0 Wealdstone Woking 3 v 3 Boston United Ahoy there me hearties all the very best one and all. 🚢
  10. What a superb performance in the first half. Firing on all cylinders with some very admirable football played. Two very good and well taken goals, we really should of been out of sight by half time with the other opportunities crafted by the team playing some totally committed football. A change of shape and a more willingness to move forward from our opponents made the second half more challenging, but even when they scored we didn't look like giving anything more away. We'll done Martin and the whole team. Bring on Harrogate for another footballing lesson. 🤠
  11. Eye eye here we are again. Stoke City 0 v 2 Coventry City 🃏 Wrexham 1 v 1 Charlton Athletic Doncaster Rovers 2 v 1 Barnsley Exeter City 1 v 0 Wigan Athletic Bristol Rovers 2 v 0 Gillingham Harrogate Town 3 v 2 Oldham Athletic Morecambe 1 v 3 Sutton United Truro City 0 v 1 Altrincham The vibes are good this weekend 😌 🙌 ✨️
  12. Unfortunately Notts looked like the non league team and Brackley the league team. Congratulations Brackley for the positive attitude, energy, grit and determination never to give up. I hope we as a collective can learn from a dismal display and moving forward, put on a brave face leaving this disaster in the past. PMA is a must now, the league beckons.
  13. Hello and welcome to the house of fun and football @Waltteriw enjoy the banter and feel the freedom to circumnavigate the abundance of topics here within. 🤠
  14. Backing Time. Eyes wide open and still can't see, What's this black blanket infront of me. A real challenge not had for a while, Needs thought, confrontation and a little guile. The use of eyes not relied on too much, Hands, arms and toes, it has to be touch. This thing turned my world upside down, Moping around with nothing but a frown. Even the birds aren't chirping any more, That beautiful sounds gone as I open the door. Temperatures dropping the weather people say, Going to be with us for more than a day. Everything changing, even wearing thicker socks, All because we've turned back the clocks.

  16. Speculation is fine on all fronts but personally I think the old adage one game at a time will see us in a more positive position than people think. The progress from week to week we have made and having strength in depth fills me with confidence to the extent that I can't wait for this incredible journey to begin. COYP.
  17. Great to hear you have had a lovely holiday @Fan of Big Tone now time to revert back to reality and face and embrace the weather, rain forecast for Friday I'm afraid. May the memories you have made stay with you and be a comfort for ever and a day. 🥳

  21. What a fantastic win today and 3 precious points. Sometimes hard work coupled with great defensive performances, digging in where necessary and playing for each other brings the results. Long may it continue. Well done Martin and your hard working team. ⚽️
  22. Bring it on 🤠 Birmingham City 2 v 0 Hull City West Bromwich Albion 1 v 1 Preston North End Blackpool 3 v 1 Wycombe Wanderers Doncaster Rovers 2 v 0 Northampton Town Grimsby Town 2 v 1 Gillingham 🃏 Newport County 1 v 2 Cheltenham Town Altrincham 0 v 2 Woking Brackley Town 1 v 3 Gateshead Another week of the beautiful game. ⚽️ 🪄 abracadabra 🤣
  23. Great news for Lewis and the team. He can now concentrate fully on playing not having that hanging over him. A good all round footballer just been given the chance for glory. Please take it. 🙏
  24. Morning all, dull, dark and dreary again on Tuesday. Still, I am wide awake, having breakfast and getting ready for work 🙃 Life is good when you can open those eyes and take the first breath of the day, not knowing just how it will all pan out. What a pleasure it is to be able to say that. Have a lovely cruise @Fan of Big Tone i am sure the weather will notch up a degree or two 😀 Cheer up @Robbie at least you can feel the cold, see the mist and hear when it rains. Enjoy being part of life's rich tapestry. Have a good day one and all. 👍🖖😉
  25. What a fantastic choice you have made @NottaCounty2001 come on in and join the fanatical funsters. 😃🎠🎡
