Match Discussion: Game 32 - The Valiants (A)
Iโm reading that as no Jodi or Didzy tomorrow. Jarvis starting then, with Charlie playing in an advanced midfield position. Get the ball up to Jatta and hope he takes his chances. A win tomorrow would be a real statement and guarantee second place come Saturday night.

First five players on your team sheet
For me itโs Bass, Platt (though Bedeau is not a wrong answer), Palmer, Jones and McGoldrick.

Match Discussion: FA Cup - The Posh (A)
We didn't struggle at Shrewsbury. We were excellent in the first half, dropped off in the second and came back to equalize in the last minute. With Bass in goal we might even have won the shoot out. As they have been all season! Posh won't have been happy with this draw. I'm expecting a tight game; 1-0 either way.

A Team Selection Conundrum For Maynard in January.
Thatโs a team thatโs good enough for promotion. I still think we need to sign another striker. Not at all convinced by Scott at this level. And I do wonder if the absence of an extended contract means that Crowley will be off to a team in the top half of League 1 or the bottom half of the Championship.

Who's Your Notts Man of the Match v Carlisle?
Right after the game, I said Crowley. Ran the game in midfield and a crucial block on the line. We didn't look the same when he went off. But having slept on it - it's Bass. Sure; he was lucky at times, but he rode that luck and pulled off a string of great saves. Probably the signing of the Summer, whatever he cost.

Notts County Unveils Stylish New Home Shirt for 2024-25 League Two Season
Yet another home kit that I don't like. Why can't we just have black and white stripes? I don't like that the stripes at the side don't go all the way down. I don't like the badge and the manufacturer in the middle of the shirt. I hate the red sponsors logo. I'm a boring old fart and I want a classic Notts shirt. Have I bought one? Of course I have.

Any clue how many tickets Notts have sold? We need a win...

Match Discussion: Game 30 - The Bluebirds (H)
This 100%. We are not ready to go up and if we do, then our stay in League 1 will be painful and short. We haven't looked like a promotion team since Mattie P got injured. I will be very happy with the season if we finish in or around the playoffs. Then we push on next season without having to worry about Stockport, Wrexham, Mansfield. OK; we won't have Macca and Jodi, and I wonder if this is Didzy's last season, but we'll still be well set Stones positioning seemed off all day. There were a lot of balls that he didn't come for and I thought it was lucky that he got away with it most of the time.

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Hatters (H)
A very strong feeling that no-oneโs going to be busting a gut to get the pitch declared fit. The new gaffer would probably prefer not to have a game against the league leaders after 48 hours in the job.

Match Discussion: Game 22 - Sulphurites (A)
@TheSkipper Thanks... You greedy season ticket holders got them all before we got a look in on this one! I knew there'd be a few grounds I wanted to tick off this season where I'd miss out. Can't grumble at the away support this year.

Match Discussion: Game 22 - Sulphurites (A)
Iโm going to be in Harrogate without a ticket on Saturday (offered the other half a pre Christmas weekend away regardless of football, so no backing out). If anyone canโt make it or hears of a couple of spares, Iโll be happy to take them off your hands.

Match Discussion: Game 20 - The Red Devils (H)
Thereโs no need to panic. Yes; the defence was poor on Saturday, and tbe midfield didnโt click for much of game (we are really missing Matty P). But we fought back well, could have scored a 3rd before Wimbledon did. And we were very unlucky to lose so late to Crewe. Maybe weโre not a top 3 team in this division, but when we click like we did in the first half against Bradford, or for much of the Swindon gama, we can beat anyone. Weโll feel a lot better with three points tomorrow.

Match Discussion: Game 10 - The U's (A)
A couple of their goals were top drawer and very little that Stone could have done about them. Just frustrating that the third goal was never a free kick or a booking and was taken from the wrong place. And the ball he gave away for the first one... blimey; that was a shocker. Jodi's goal... sublime. "Always believe in...".

Match Discussion: Game 10 - The U's (A)
On the plus side, this was my first time at Colchester's "new" (ish) ground. And there were a lot of positives. Really cheap tickets if you bought in advance, with ample cheap secure parking right off the A12 and an 8 minute walk. Decent fan zone, helpful stewards, free programmes, and a good view from seats right by the pitch. Unfortunately, a few of our fans can be right dicks, especially at away games. We know who they are, and we see them having a go every week (is it too direct to say the same old "Weekend Offenders"?). Yes, the keeper was time-wasting. The ref dealt with it. You don't shove players. And if you do, then you deserve to be thrown out (and he was lucky to be the only one). If you have a season ticket then the club needs to tell you that's the fastest way to lose it. As for the idiot who threw the ball back on the pitch when Jodi was trying to take a quick corner; what were you thinking? You deserved the earful he gave you (though it was typically classy of Jodi to apologise afterwards). Our fans have built up a good reputation over the last couple of years. Don't let a few idiots spoil things.

Match Discussion: Game 4 - Rovers (A)
I'm nervous that my getting Chicksen's name and number on my shirt has condemned him to a season on the bench! I've not been to the new-ish stadium and I'm looking forward to a big Notts crowd. There's been a lot of money spent in what was always a grotty town centre (think how Mansfield or Worksop was, and it was worse than either). So I'm going to wander around the market and check out the street food stalls for lunch.

Match Discussion: Game 1 - The Us (A)
I don't expect such a high line this season. We got caught out a few times last year and could get punished against the more talented League 2 clubs.

Simon Clarkโs Pick of the Top Away Games to Enjoy This Season
I've been to Plough Lane, but the two Wimbledon games that stick out are the home game when Steve Cherry save John Fashanu's life, and the trip to Selhurst Park the same year when we completed the weird triple of going there three times in two seasons and losing to three different clubs.

Simon Clarkโs Pick of the Top Away Games to Enjoy This Season
Agreed about a lot of these. Sutton's going to be a tough ticket, and it clashes with the Family Day v Yorkshire at Trent Bridge, so I'm assuming I won't be at that one. Sorry that Salford's on a Friday night, which probably counts that out too. Bradford and Harrogate are in the diary. Daughter lives in Leeds, so hope to drag her and her boyfriend along to those, pint by gaslight at Hales in Harrogate is a must. As is a curry at Prashad's in Bradford. Bring on the spicy vegan burgers at Forest Green, and hope we're celebrating. Only local game for me this year will be Colchester - everything else is at least a 5 hour round trip - so will definitely be there, with my partner's son, as his beloved Tractor Boys are away. New ground for me too. A bit more luxurious than Layer Road.

Where have they gone? Missing PON members we need back!
I think I'd forgotten I was ever a member! I live 3.5 hours away. I've got back into going to games over the last 18 months since my Mum died and I've been up in Notts to see my Dad every couple of weeks. He's about to move to Suffolk to be near me, but now that I've got back into the habit... Plus my daughter starts at Notts Uni in September, so I can combine seeing football with seeing her. May even drag her to a game.

Match Discussion: PSF - Forest (H)
I hope it's a fun afternoon out and that both sets of fans behave. Getting stuffed again wouldn't be a great feeling, but anything less than a 3 goal defeat will be fine as long as we play well.

Match Discussion: Play Off Semi-Final - The Wood (H)
I liked what Jodi Jones said after the match; that he didn't panic at half time - Notts could have been 3-0 up after 15 minutes, so there was no reason why they couldn't score 3 after the break. Jodi's taken a while to settle, and until his cross for the equaliser wasted a few opportunities yesterday, but he's clearly a quality player. Nemane's clearance was also one of the moments of the season for me. He kept us in it.
