Notts put in a commendable defensive display against a dominant Swindon Town side. While Swindon controlled much of the play, they rarely threatened our goal. McGoldrick's goals were exceptional strikes with both feet! It was a determined performance and a valuable three points against a team we rarely beat away from home. Palmer is beginning to look more like his old self in midfield. This is a new-look Notts County side that is still finding its rhythm, but the signs are encouraging. You Pies!

Fantastic performance by the lads! McGoldrick was the star of the show with his two goals, especially his second which was a brilliant strike. The team showed great resilience after conceding the early goal. The defence held firm under considerable pressure, with Platt and Bass putting in solid performances. This win is a significant step towards our promotion ambitions and proves we can dig deep and secure vital points. The spirit and camaraderie in the squad are evident, and it’s great to see them rally together for wins like these. A memorable match and a fantastic result for Notts!

Yes, it seems like he has been exchanging naughty messages. But I believe he thought it was consensual. It sounds like a bit of a sting. The accusers may be trying to get more than Jermaine Jenas sacked.

My vote is going towards Jodi Jones. I think the other two have been in good form, but Jodi has been very exciting to watch. His urgency has been one of the biggest factors in August.

It's unfortunate, but somewhat expected news. His goodbye message to me gave the impression that things were not good and that Sven was expecting to pass away soon. It's still sad. Rest in peace.

It’s amazing to see Notts continue their success with season tickets. Great success with the sales, long may it continue.

I understand the issues with losing money and copyright problems, but I don’t think it should come at the cost of allowing fans to watch their club. It’s a step too far for me, but I understand why they might want to cut it down.

More points on the table early on would be great, even better if Notts can secure a win. We can’t afford a poor performance, especially after the reactions to the League Cup game. The fans at Meadow Lane for the first game of the season deserve to see a solid performance.

He went to Alfreton, and things went downhill from there. He looked like he had potential but lacked confidence and was thrown into the Notts squad when he wasn’t completely ready. I think he retired not long after Alfreton let him go.

I don’t think there was much wrong with how the team performed in the first half. I think Notts should have kept the Shrewsbury fans on their team’s back more. The changes, while they might not have helped, take time for the players to get up to speed and add more pressure on those already on. Shrewsbury are a League One team, with a level of quality good enough to be decent in that league. Bowing out on penalties isn’t the worst outcome. Yes, Notts could have won, but the positives outweigh the negatives

I don’t think the issue was the starting lineup. For me, making three changes when under heavy pressure makes it harder for those already in the game, as there’s little time for the newcomers to get up to speed. I wouldn’t single this out, but I think Robbie Cundy had a nightmare of a game. Yet it’s the League Cup, so there’s not much we can dwell on. Had we been 2-0, coming back to 3-3 would have felt different. We are a League Two team trying to climb this league, so focus on that more than bowing out on penalties.

The Reedtz brothers have single-handedly transformed the club, given a lease of life to the staff to do their jobs, remained largely in the background, and enabled the club to start spending money on players that bring in a better quality than free agents alone can bring. I never felt they would invest like they have done, so when fans say they lack ambition, I don’t think they are credible supporters because they lack the thanks and understanding of how small a club we are and how out of it we had been due to the decline Alan Hardy put on us for falling out of the Football League to begin with. I am thankful. I feel we are in good hands, and I am more than prepared to wait for a higher level of football because giving them the time to continue will make Notts County better in the long term.

The game was thrilling, but losing on penalties was tough. Our first-half performance was strong, but we couldn’t maintain it. Shrewsbury’s comeback tested us. Despite the loss, we controlled possession and created chances. Let’s focus on the league.

I’m on the fence about Luke Williams. While I think he’s a competent coach and agree with many of the previous points, I’m aware that his return could be a step backwards. On the other hand, it could also lead to further success. It felt like Williams had the potential to propel Notts forward and climb the leagues. Even though he left for Swansea City, his departure was understandable and he left with our blessings. His decision to move closer to his family was sensible. However, if he were to return one day, I would hope that the Notts board would insist that he settle in the area.

My day wasn’t particularly exciting. It involved work, followed by some downtime at home, watching TV and eating, before the cycle repeats itself. I’m eagerly awaiting the weekend, as I have time off and should be able to make the most of the pleasant weather, fingers crossed.

I don’t often go for walks; I usually walk out of necessity. However, from time to time, I should make an effort to find places where I can escape. Going for a leisurely stroll can only be beneficial, offering relaxation and a chance to embrace the surroundings. This is a contrast to simply trying to reach a destination and navigating through crowds.

It’s just like a Notts fan’s luck! Those wheels always seem to fall off for us. Keep going with the gardening and maybe treat yourself to a new wheelbarrow.
