Marinakis or The brothers...
Look at the photograph, it says so much. The King of the Castle in the Forest. He is a spoilt brat throwing toys (managers) out of the pram. I am yet to come across anyone with an understanding of football, think that getting rid of a manager who did so well in the premiership, gets you into European football and appoint someone who was fourth from bottom in the PL and won a European trophy a good appointment. The Board and Forest fans are in silence. Stockholm Syndrome, held hostage to the power he yields. I could not give you the name of many premier league club owners, because they stay in the background, unlike Marinakis. Yes, as the Stockholm Syndrome Forest fans state, its good to have an owner who attends every game and is so motivated. But there is a line and he has crossed it. I cannot see top notch managers go to the City Ground now, too much of a loose cannon. Compare him to our owners, I know who I'd rather have.

Roos
After 60 minutes he's the man of the match against Barnet.

Roos
When we were 4-0 up against Crawley and 3.1 up against Oldham, I found him most entertaining. Otherwise somewhat alarming.

Takeaways from the win against Oldham
some excellent points made on here. In addition, Martin and his pitchside teams' subsitutions have been a revelation. Early in the 2nd half when Oldham had taken control of midfield, had got their 54th minute goal and were asking serious questions of our defence and goalkeeper. The triple subsitution in the 65th minute curtailed Oldhams' attack and allowed Notts to effectively manage the game out. Martin and his teams data-driven decisions had a major impact. More of these please.

Notts Injury Watch 2025/26
I think the Bromley game showed us how much we will miss Platt in defence. He is what we have missed for so long, a no nonsense defender who guards the goal, clears the ball, joins up with the midfield, and critically inspires confidence in his colleagues. I'd go far as to say that Bromley's first goal was the sort of clearance he'd have dealt with, giving is all three points. I think McDonald is a decent defender, as is Bedeau. Alijofree shows potential, but i want to see more. It all shows how vulnerable we are. Whilst, we are talking about injuries, Refs need to be protecting Jodi better. he's being targeted, by players who are having a free reign. I fear an injury will take him out again, unless he is given more protection.

10 Game Target
How about we wait for ten games first? The Board caused Didz to leave, sold the best keeper in the league and we don't have AJ for another two games. But apparently, its all MP's fault? Let him get AJ back, give him 5 games with the totemic goalscorer, then judge. So many opinions, two footed tackles and aspersions here based on 'rumours'. No wonder the city is known as the Whispering City

Reasons for Optimism
A positive.....when we went down two nil, and we made a subsitution I said "Let's see if he can make a goal from a subsitution". Within ten minutes the sub had scored. A question.... what is the Plan B when there is a high-press like Salford had on us on Saturday? Cloughie was the first to do it on the first season back back in League 2, when the stags beat us 4.1. since then, when a team emulates them with a high press, we have little options, and as evidendenced on saturday, team can conjure a goal by putting us under pressure, forcing errors from defence and goalkeepers alike. what is Plan B in that scenario?

Home kit out now
Great shirt. The advertiser is a Notts fan. Just shows what can be done if it is thought about and tweaked, rather than saying saying heres the shirt, heres the sponsor, get on with it. I just wish my name was David James.

Jatta rumour
Goal scorers will always attract attention. I don't see Notts selling him.

Nottingham Evening Post Coverage
For several years now the NEP Magpie coverage of Notts County has been beyond pathetic. Minimum coverage of Notts County, even removing the tab to click on. It is as if they Notts do not exist. The internet has revolutionised how we access news, and how businesses make money from it. But the NEP coverage of Notts makes them look what they are, a skeleton crew of junior writers who scrawl Facebook for stories to regurgitate. This was evidenced in the recent story that stated “Former Notts County boss Luke Williams is now working at Bristol Airport.” The misleading article skewered the angle that he had fallen on tough times but had the dignity to work. Utter claptrap, he volunteered, helping disabled people access the airport. I recall print edition copies of the Post over past eras gave both clubs decent coverage. But a search of Notts County news on Google gives news about Notts County on Derbyshire, Portsmouth, Aberdeen and Yorkshire media outlets giving news around Notts County transfers. It has to be said the NEP is failing the city. The NEP is inundated with news when someone farts at the City Ground We have Notts County Talk, The Magpie Circle, Pride of Nottingham, Facebook and Twitter which give us fans a pretty decent account. BBC radio Notts also gives Notts coverage, but like the Post is Red. But the fact the NEP ignores Notts, is a failing, a failing which fails the city.

Back to the Future: The Notts time continuum
I would go back to 13th February 1994, to the minute before Sir Charlie Palmer scored against Forest with four minutes to go, ninety seconds after they'd equalised. Then just as the celebrations were slowing down, I'd have that moment put into a loop that repeated again and again for eternity.
