  1. its a good move for aidan stone, i hope it works out because you can see a keeper in him. he just needs confidence and a good defence in front of him.
  2. respectful comments by jacob bedeau about morecambe, going back to your former club can be a blessing but it can also be negative with the way things are going. i would hope their fans give him and dan crowley a good reception and dont take their current situation out on them.
  3. has it been made public what all the charges are? i am aware that they have overspent etc, i also remember reading something about them doing what chelsea did that earned them an embargo due to loaning out and signing you talent.
  4. the short term deal sounds like he is arriving only as a cover, but i suppose it sees how he will do in our system and could always be extended. i am not suggesting the deal is bad due to length, so we will have to wait and see how he does in our team.
  5. anthony joshua should continue to see what fights open up for him and see how things come about, as he could make a return to the top again but it would require focus. the thing boxing is there is ups and downs, even with the very best but its how they cope when handling set backs that makes things count.
  6. i wonder how many it attracted and if it was anywhere near as busy as it normally would be for certain events. was this the same day as the aj fight? that might have helped boost the crowd.
  7. i dont see how they would go missing, unless something dodgy had been done to them. i wonder how many teams are missing trophies and how common it is for clubs that have struggled. its not right at all.
  8. £150,000?? surely it dont cost that much to repair that damage. anyone want to start a football pitch repair company with me? if that is the price to have a small area fixed, imagine how much you can get to have the whole pitch done. if they are doing it all, i think its wrong to ask people to donate to achieve it when its only a small part.
  9. david mcgoldrick will be starting up top then, i think it means we need to save jevani brown for any attacking cover, instead of him coming on for someone else and then we have nobody to fill that gap. yes we can change how the team is playing on the pitch, but if we have a defensive player coming on and someone else gets nudged up, it would be better if that player was saved. i think morecambe will be a difficult team to play, but i think if we play as a team and focus on the chances we should do well.
  10. i hope mk dons continue to struggle, because they feel they are bigger than they are and are one of the worst clubs for thinking they deserve to be somewhere they have never been. them making it the championship has shown that they are still a small club, if they were as big as they think, that should have been a turning point. here they are back in league two, signing other clubs successful managers hoping it will make them a good team.
  11. i guess some players might hold the manager more responsible for bad spells in their careers, there are so many reasons why two people would not get along and with social media everything is always more open than it would be without.
  12. i am looking forward to making the trip to morecambe tomorrow, i just have a few more hours at work and i can then sort everything ahead of the day. work is slowing down, but soon we will be hit with the demand leading up to christmas which is the busiest period. i am enjoying the slowness for once.
  13. Middlesbrough 2-1 Stoke City joker Millwall 0-3 Preston North End Blackpool 1-0 Burton Albion Wigan Athletic 1-1 Exeter City Gillingham 1-0 Barrow Newport County 2-2 Crewe Alexandra Woking 1-0 Sutton United Yeovil Town 0-0 Aldershot
  14. it sounds like morecambe are having ownership problems which could be the worst outcome for them with the way the seasons progressing, i wish them well. we have been here before, where owners have no idea and literally split the fan base in half. leading to the club falling to the wrong end of league two. its a shame to see this happening to morecambe.
  15. i did not go, but i listened and have read comments. along with watching the highlights. kellan gordon gets my vote, i think with jodi being out he should be able to step up. he seems to have a great cross on him.
  16. i am very pleased for him, it looks like a milestone that will hopefully see the club push our youngsters to be more involved. the only way they will improve is by playing, if they play and dont reach the level we need, fair enough but giving kameron muir this surely means he has a bright future for us?
  17. i think the efl trophy is a great time to include young players, it gives us fans something to actually be encouraged by because i dont find the competition has ever really been taken seriously. i think notts does, but from the fans perspective it could be a lot better. i am please kameron muir got to come on and has become our youngest player, as i say, it gives you something to be invested with.
  18. it wouldn't surprise me if we did call the game off, so that could focus on the weekend but that is not very notts like. i dont think the result matters, but the performance does because that can cause poor performances in the league. i think we have to play at least 5 regulars, give aidan stone the chance ahead of sam slocombe. i dont think it will happen tho, but i would because stone is better with the ball at his feet.
  19. i dont think we need to dwell on the missed chances, but mark stallard is right and goals change games. just like poor officials which was the real talking point. i was hoping that would be pointed out when i came home after the game listening to the radio but it seems only bbc radio nottingham discuss controversial moments when its forest. its a bit disappointing, but mark stallard is right with his comments. i know he spoke about it during the game, but it was absent at the end.
  20. this is why some teams just need to hoof the ball, they play themselves into danger and look stupid for making rushed decisions. its a very poor pass that led to the own goal.
  21. @Robbie we had a thing for signing players related to famous players, in some form or another. he was very poor from my memory. only good relation i can remember is thomas ince. he looked great and i wished we could have signed him whilst his dad was the manager. paul was a rubbish manager tho. jack barmby was good, his dad was a very good player. it did not pass down.
  22. raddy looked like he knew he had made the mistake but had forgotten where his position was, the everton keeper was well beyond the area and knew exactly what he was doing.
  23. so ceefax was the bbc, but teletext was a similar thing but non bbc and commercial? looking into the difference i found the reason why its called ceefax - see facts. ???? quite obvious once you know.
  24. welcome to the pride of nottingham @Shannon Daly.
  25. i did not pay attention to the gate either, i was too invested in hoping we could score and get a point. though the stands did look busier than 11,000.
