Darren Way hoping Yeovil Town can secure League Two safety at Notts County

Joe Jones

Yeovil Town manager Darren Way is eager for his side to go all out against Notts County on Saturday and claim the points which will guarantee their place in League Two this season.

The Glovers need just two points to be sure of their place in the division next season, while safety can also be assured if bottom side Chesterfield fail to win at Forest Green Rovers.

While Yeovil have been in no immediate danger of the drop in recent weeks, Way is looking to get the team safe as soon as possible, and will be pushing for victory at Meadow Lane.

“You want to officially get the job done, that’s for sure, as a manager and a team, so the club can make decisions on contracts, the future of the football club, the budget for next year and not to be looking over our shoulder," Way told Somerset Live.

“I’ve always felt in control and confident in the remit of what we’ve had to do and I will maintain that stance because I’ve not tried to put any pressure on the players or show any anxiousness or just come in, do the job and do everything that we can within the process to put in a performance.”
