Jon Stead has described Notts County's signing of David Vaughan as a “coup”.
The 35-year-old was snapped up by the Magpies following his departure from Nottingham Forest at the end of last season.
“It’s a coup isn’t it?” Stead told the Nottingham Post.
“He’s been at the top level and the way he carries himself and the way he controls the ball, he is very clever.
“He is very relaxed and being a striker it’s somebody I look at and know that if I make that double movement, he will see it.
“At time we might have lacked that a little bit last season which was that cutting edge and final ball. He will help us with that.”
