League One Round-Up

super_ram

The competition for play off places is getting very interesting with only 8 points separating 5th placed Sheffield United and 15th placed Oldham. The situation at the bottom end is no less interesting with Coventry, Leyton Orient and Crawley all winning, Crewe, Colchester, Yeovil all losing and Notts, Scunthorpe and Walsall all drawing.

Walsall lie 16th but are only 8 points adrift of a play off place and yet are also only 7 points above safety, which shows how tight this league is but games are running out.

Notts County have moved up to 18th from 35 games on 42 points, the same as 19th placed Crewe who have played 36 games. Coventry having played 36 games, are on 40 points.

The relegation places are taken up by 21st placed Leyton Orient who have 38 points from 35 games. Crawley climb to 22nd place with 37 points from 36 games.

The gap between 6th placed Barnsley and 21st placed Leyton Orient is now 15 points.

Notts County are 11 points below a play off place but alarmingly only 4 points above the relegation zone.

Notts County will be desperate for a home win on Tuesday and hoping other results also go their way so they can keep a safe distance from the drop zone.

We can forget about the play-off places, I just hope we come home happy and feeling better having done so with all 3 points. It's looking more and more gloomy but all the fans I speak to one match days speak with passion, no matter what the views are.

I just hope Derry rides the storm because I do feel we will be better from this.
