Michael O'Connor will be hoping for a key role in Notts County's playoff campaign over the coming weeks.
The club captain has slowly returned to action following a long-term injury and made his first start of the season against Luton Town last weekend.
With O'Connor going from strength to strength, he is eager to make up for his absence over the course of the regular season and help his club up into League One.
βThere was a stage at 65 minutes when I made a run from my own box to the other one and I thought thatβs me done,β he joked.
βBut other than that I felt fine. Iβve played five or six reserve games and Iβve had six or seven weeks full training.
βI feel really good and Iβm now hoping I can play a big part in the play-offs.
βWeβve got a 24-25 man squad so whoever the gaffer picks we can do a job for him.
βItβs a good squad, we all stick together and whoever is in front of me I will wish them all the best and get behind them.
βBut I am hoping I did enough at the weekend to give the gaffer a headache.β
