Notts County Secure the Signing of Guinean Forward Mai Traore

Seems like we've uncovered a real talent. His performance metrics in Scandinavia are very encouraging.

we have seen similar signings being a given a platform for further growth and i am very encouraged by the signing, i think the club have listened this season and due to our position in the league table are wanting to further push for automatic promotion. once his visa clears, we will be in a very strong position with more firepower.

The signing of Mai today is great news for the Club and supporters.

I am sure Notts have been watching him for some time & they will have done all the checks to ensure he will fit into the Notts system well.

I'm sure he's going to strengthen Notts's attacking options as they go into the second half of the season to push  for promotion.

Notts will be hoping that they can develop Mai just as they have done with Alassana, who's value has quadrupled in his time at Notts.

This is exactly the kind of signing we needed! A young, hungry forward with good experience at a decent level, but also plenty of potential to improve. The fact that he’s quick, strong, and left-footed gives us something different in attack, which is crucial when breaking teams down.  

I hope we give him time to settle because stepping into League Two from Norway won’t be easy. But if he can adjust, I think he could be a brilliant addition. Excited to see what he can do in a Notts shirt.

Mai Traore seems like a very clever signing.

We’ve been needing a bit of extra pace and power up front, and from what I’ve seen of him, he’s got both in abundance. His time in Norway shows he’s capable of playing at a good level, and his breakthrough season in Sweden was unreal.

If he can rediscover that kind of form, he could be a real game-changer for us. The club seems to be focusing on bringing in players with room to grow, and that’s great to see. Hopefully, we’ll give him the time he needs to settle in and get used to English football. Can’t wait to see him at Meadow Lane!

A very interesting signing! Always good to see us looking at different markets, and Norway has produced some great players over the years. Traore has experience in a competitive league, and his record in Sweden shows he knows how to find the net. The club clearly sees potential in him, and I like that we’re thinking long-term. The biggest question will be how quickly he adapts to English football, but he’s got the physicality and technical ability to do well. If he can add goals to our side, this could be a brilliant bit of business.

This seems like a very interesting and exciting signing. His record might not be comparable to Jatta, but I can see a player in the making. He's certainly someone I can see Notts bringing more out of, and if it's true he's very quick, that alone would scare League Two defenders, as it would higher up. He's at the right age to be encouraged to shine, so I believe he will be a hit. No doubt Notts fans will make him feel welcome from day one. It's good to see the club explore options outside the EFL, so I look forward to seeing Mai Traore on the pitch and in a Notts shirt.

His record might not look great, but he may have played more as an attacking midfielder rather than an out-and-out striker. That could explain the numbers, so it’s worth giving him a chance to show what he can do. I’m pleased we’ve signed a forward, and he looks promising. Time will tell, but if this move works out, it could play a big role in our push for promotion.

This could be a very good signing. We need to commit to playing him and afford him time. With Junior Morias back, though I doubt Morias would feature, but in principle, they could be two hellraisers in terms of giving defenders a nightmare. We have seen the Jatta and Didzy partnership flourish, and if Mai Traore needs time, I don't see why we wouldn't give Morias another chance but in more games, especially against teams we are coping with. It would rest some of the players during a backlogged run of fixtures if JM can return to match fitness in time.

On paper, it appears to be a promising signing. The arrival of Will Jarvis shouldn't be overshadowed, but Mai Traore is undoubtedly a strong acquisition for us. Even if he requires time to adapt to the club, his speed would be a valuable asset. If he becomes a more consistent Enzio-like player, we will have secured an excellent signing.
