Notts County manager John Sheridan has praised Stanley Aborah and believes he should be in a more attacking role this season. The former Ajax midfielder, considered one of the best players last season, was ostracised by one of the former managers but looks to be in the Magpies boss's plans this season as he found himself deployed further up the pitch. "I just like him up the pitch because you can take chances up there," Sheridan said of Aborah. "He is confident on the ball and he'Added by Joe Jones

The Shrewsbury game seems to be a distant memory now. For myself it's hard to believe we haven't played since the 1st of January 2013. The weather forecast doesn't seem to help our lack of events surrounding Notts County. Apart from the signing of Andre Boucaud it has been very quiet, not much seems to be happening at all and I'm starting wonder if we will make any other signings. It's not a complaint, I'm just hopeful that we may add bulk to our squad. More importantly I cannot wait to sUpdated by PON_News

When the final whistle blew at Priestfield on Sunday 3rd May, I surely cannot have been the only person who felt numb, drained, disappointed and fearful. Notts had lost 3-1 to Gillingham despite leading 1-0 until the 88th minute, and following a season that began so promisingly but collapsed quicker than a sixth form leaver on his first lads’ trip abroad after his tenth shot of tequila, the Magpies’ relegation was confirmed.
