The transformation of the squad is quite amazing, the fact we've lost some key players but have managed to pick up solid replacements which has actually improved the squad overall. It's allowing us to build on the momentum and, the fact we haven't had to throw money bags to get into this position makes it all the sweeter.

I was nervous about losing Kyle Wootton, but pre-season calmed my nerves.

As I have mentioned, I felt we'd be up there, but the way things are going, it could even go beyond what I thought was possible (which some may have only dreamed). I say this, as I noticed the way Langstaff and Scott worked together: bringing Scott slowly into the mix gave Langstaff a chance to settle in. He's been a big boost to the teams' morale, as does Cameron leading the squad out. Scott is a workhorse, his high pressing and continuous running at the opposition defence is something I feel is underrated in his game.

Keeping consistency is key.
Turning potential defeats or losses into wins and draws will be a big factor in keeping in the running.
Avoiding knee-jerk reactions to games like Dorking will help to avoid self-destruction. (Dorking treated their game as a cup match, thought hard at home and deserved it)
Langstaff and Scott's fitness needs to be maintained, as either being injured would be a major blow.
Other key players, such as Rodrigues and Chicksen need to keep stepping up when needed.

The recruitment has been spot on @Chris. It says something when we lose players as important as Wootton and Roberts, yet they're not missed at all. I'm not looking forward to January though.

By the way, are we still top of the league? I haven't looked at the table for around ten minutes...
