Trouble Sleeping?

Featured Replies

I was wondering does anyone else suffer problems sleeping?

I have a history of it, but I'm currently not on any sort of tablets to help, as I'm trying to help myself. I have been using sleep aid apps I have found, but this has not been helping. I find the music more distracting than helpful. I have cut down sugary drinks in the evening to see if this isn't helping too. I just don't know what to do.

I'm currently taking anti-depressants as I'm extremely depressed, but I am taking myself off these as I feel the same as before I was on them. I am trying non-medicated ways of helping this as well, like taking up journaling again, art etc too.

As daft as it sounds milky coffee is a really good sleep inducer, half a level spoonful of coffee and a cup full of milk all frothed up in a saucepan on a medium heat, don't forget to keep stirring it though!!

As for the tablets DON'T stop taking these suddenly, you would probably be better going to speak to your doctor about a mood stabiliser or if you are anxious get a beta blocker, the latter work within 20 minutes of taking.

When you make the coffee i personally add 1 teaspoon of sugar in the pan and then your best to sit down and put a calm programme on telly.

Good Luck

All the time, I'm on here until 3 or 4am sometimes.

It doesn't really bother me, I just try to make sure I go bed earlier the next day but I find watching a movie for example to be a way to settle. My mind often races, so watching a movie (usually good) means I have the time to relax. If it bores me, I tend to fall asleep quicker.

Find an hobby, perhaps there's something you can do in the day to keep yourself busy and when the time comes - you can fall asleep?

I can send you our highlights from last season if that would help? hehe

Go into 'More Reply Options' and it should allow you to upload it.

I believe it allows PDF's by default, if not message me on FB and I'll ping it up. :D
