The latest from Stuart Maynard as he prepares to lead Notts into their last match of the Season.

Stuart Maynard seems more relaxed in his interviews now and handles the questions better whether it's because only one guy asks the questions instead of two or three asking the same thing but in a different way or if he knows what questions are going to be asked and he's prepared for them. He appeared very cagey regarding who's going to be let go, but I think he's got an Idea already. And how long after the final Match will it be before we the Fans know.

He did say that he's already had conversations with the Owners and Richard regarding recruitment, so I would assume they already have a list of targets and they already have an idea of the funds available.

He didn't appear to disclose whether they have all discussed about players that will be retained or transferred, but I can't believe that some discussion about a retained list haven't taken place

Teams are usually very quick to disclose their retained list after the season's ends, so I would think that we won't have to wait long for a retained list to be published.

Regarding the retained list Robbie I still think there's going to be an Awful Lot of  Players who are Not League 2 Standard left in the Notts Squad come the start of next season. And the Magpies are going to suffer for it. I hope I'm wrong and poor players are removed to be replaced with players who have at least several League 2 seasons experience  under their belts. And Recruitment is Top Notch otherwise Notts are going to find themselves struggling, and Stuart Maynard is going to find himself the scapegoat  for the Recruitment Teams failings, and will eventually be out of a job.

Just looked on transfer market website for Notts County.

Out of the squad of 27

Three are loan players contracts expire  31 May 2024

Seven players contracts  including 4 defenders expire this summer 2024.

Twelve player's contracts including 3 defenders expire summer 2025

Three player's contracts expire 2026

Two players contracts expire 2027

So we will await the retained list out of the squad of 27

Now there's another idea for a New Topic Robbie. Name all the current Squad and the length of their contracts and we can all go over the Pro's and Con's of each Individual player . Reckon it will produce a good Debate.
