will this be a bit of grudge match from the lincoln perspective with us taking their old team to form our own? i know the current womens team is new and seperate to that, but i wonder if lincoln united will resent the fact we slowed down their development or is it a different lincoln?

i hope our girls manage to claim the victory!

Lincoln United Women amalgamated with non league side Lincoln United in 2020..

Lincoln City Women, rebranded in 2019 & formerly known as "Nettleham" is affiliated to league one side Lincoln City.

Notts beat Lincoln City 4:0 on the 10th November.

Good luck to the Notts Women's team. It should be a good game, and I will keep an eye out for the final score.

Lincoln United are currently in 9th place in the league with 10 points & 3 wins from eleven games.

Notts will be looking for a positive result here. Another away win would really consolidate Notts in the top six.

Notts will need to be at their best defensively as an away fixture in this league is always tricky, however the ladies are full of confidence after a 5:0 away win at Solihull in their last game.

I am hoping Notts can continue their progress, and clinch another win.

There is still resentment towards Notts for taking the original Lincoln team, and rebranding them as Notts County. However, it shouldn't be the case with this squad because it's been rebuilt from the ground up and has no connection to the franchise that Ray Trew started, and Alan Hardy folded. Some Notts fans on the other hand won't accept this team simply because AH folded the franchise team even though it wasn't sustainable.

I hope our women's team does well; they earned my support by attending the playoff semi-final as a team for the men as a way to show unity - even though they are not exactly treated the same. :(

@Chris

If you look at the Women's table Nettleham are listed as being on the bottom, but Nettleham are now known as Lincoln City so City took the franchise from Nettleham. But looking at the League table they are still referred to as Nettleham

MATCH POSTPONED.

Unfortunately, after a pitch inspection this morning, the pitch was deemed unplayable due to it being waterlogged.

A new date for the match will be confirmed in due course.
