League One strugglers Oldham Athletic produced a stunning second-half fightback to dump Championship side Nottingham Forest out of the FA Cup.

Matt Smith turned the ball into his own net to gift Forest a first-half lead.

But Robbie Simpson followed up a brilliant 25-yard strike with a deft header to make it 2-1 to the Latics.

That very short, more coming later from them?

Some very disappointed fans will be in your city tonight, this is one of those surprises in football. I didn't see this coming at all! Might of been all different had they not gone down to 10 men but at least you can say you played better with them! as did Derby County if I have facts straight. Super Ram enlighten me please?

not bothered about them but noticed angry friends and their reaction. good result for oldham and well played to them.

Yes SteveMUP.Oldham did very well but they had 11 and Florists 10.We beat them with 10 and they had 11.Don't mean to gloat as we play Nottinghams other team in 2 weeks time and things sometimes come back and bite you.

In your case, no bites. More ram raided!!

You best not let us don't Super Ram, we're counting on you in that game. Derby need to deliver!

AS I've said before it depends which team turns up on the day.Derby are a team in progress.Nigel Clough and the owners have said repeatedly that they want to get the club sound financially and build for the future and not just get promoted to come straight back down(with an embarrassing points return)like last time. The progress has been very slow but they are gradually getting towards that target. So whatever happens against Nottinghams 2nd team in a fortnights time does not really matter(only bragging rights)However next season is a different matter altogether!!!
