For anyone interested, Richard Butcher's mum, Gail, has written a book about her son from schoolboy to professional footballer.  The ups and downs, the laughs and the tears they lived through together.

 

Gail insists "It's not just a book about football."

I sincerely hope it doesn't cause friction for her, my understanding is she was frozen out by Richards wife after his death. I don't know if they've made up, though I would hope that they have. I noticed on the OS that Gail had written a book, it will be a worthwhile purchase for all.

I'm hoping for a digital version.

it was sad what happened to butch, i think this is a great way to show testament to him.

i will buy it in the new year and eventually report back on my opinion.
