Time to let Branston go?

With all the talk turning to when will Moniz be sacked, I think the other issue with the club needs addressing as well.

Recruitment is and has been a big issue for Notts for years now. Every club picks up duds, but we seem to get more than our fair share. 

This summer's recruitment has been overall unsuccessful. Lots of players at the club not good enough to play league two football. And that is where we are now. The back end of league two.

The finger needs pointing at Branston for bringing in the ridiculous amount of players who aren't good enough. If we believe the system is that any coach should be able to come to the club and do just that, coach, then the system needs to be in place to allow that. What we have (from the outside looking in and at the end of the day, we are the customers!!!) Branston signing dross through the transfer committee and Moniz coaching them. I'm sure Moniz had his hand some. Stanley A for one superb player. Jenner, not so much!

It goes back to the structure. If we believe the coach fits to our ideas bit, then the signings made by the club, not the manager are terrible, meaning the structure is wrong. 

Call for Moniz's head by all means because we are organised at all and have no indication of when we will be! 

BUT consider the position of people like Branston who has signed some real gems such as Sprokel and half the reserve team, never destined to play league football.

 

Experiment failed? Maybe. Excitement needed? Always, but at the expense of performances like Salford? No.

If I carry on this turns into a blog, so I'll stop now, but give a thought to shouting Branston out next Tuesday  as well!!!

branston never signed sprockel moniz did.

Branstons signings Stead Campbell De Silva Milsom McLeod I think Valencic Hewitt to and Sheehan Loach Bennett Atkinson 

Moniz signings Jenner Sprockel Snidjers Amervor Swerts Barmby loan Stanley maybe there is more but they have both signed some trash.

i think they should both go simple

Sprockel was brought in by Branston recommended to him by a foreign scout. There is an interview out there where he talks about his foreign connections and how he got the dvds to give to Moniz.

 

Moniz has indeed signed rubbish awell, but and this is a biggie, even if we sack Moniz, we are still left with the head of recruitment firmly with his feet under the table.

I also think Matt Alexander still has a lot of pulling power at the club for some unknown reason. Our last two signings in Barmby and Sheenan have come through Branston via Matt 'show me the money' Alexander. His Dad was a gentleman and a scholar. Matt isn't!!!

let's just say they have both signed crap and both don't get along so what you now end up with is two stubborn people .

 

This is my take on it just a theory it's almost like right Valencic you're a branston player so I don't want to give u a chance .

he says he knows Jon steads a great footballer blah blah but does he really know anything about him he doesn't seem to understand his role.

its almost like we have two split squads moniz squad Branstons squad and if ur a branston player moniz isn't keen on you Bennett one chance then shipped out.

Valencic not been fortunate to have a chance they both need to go and someone has to come in and be given the power to bring there own staff in.

and hopefully try sort this situation out we have a decent squad just for me the only exception moniz has brought in is Stanley

Branston is a clown who thinks he knows better than anyone else within the game.

This is a man who asked the NFFC scout to go and have a look at a tip off he had received about a player as it would too long a drive for him from his house down south.

Moniz quite clearly needs to be allowed to run the football side and Branston allowed to run the burger van over the other side of the Trent

I thought there was now a commitee that dealt with transfers at Notts.If so, whoever has the final say must take the blame for all the signings that you Notts fans all seem to agree aren't good enough.

There is, but I think Branston seems to be leading it by all accounts. Most of the signings have his signature on them somwehere!

branston has had a huge input no doubt Stead Valencic Audel Sprockel Atkinson Rhys Sharpe who he signed on one apperence of him coping with chucks akpro I think it is the talented Arsenal striker not sure that's his name tho .

Kyle De Silva Campbell Bennett that's 9 players there make it 10 Loach  oops 11 Milsom.

 

Then moniz signings Snidjers Stan Amervor Jenner Burke I'd imagine  so yea I'd imagine moniz didn't want all these but branston did

so branston can't hide now it's all going downhill he needs to accept it and be a man and say look I recruited this lot you can't go write a column in a football league paper saying what do people know about scouting and youth etc .

 

Especially when you're someone who brings in Thierry Audel who's not even wanted by Macclesfield national league that is.

Sorry but he has brought in some rubbish and should be sacked I was reading his Twitter and a fan pointed out how a certain Blair Adams is doing great at Mansfield .

 

His reply was along the lines of yea top man thanks for the info it's like the guy thinks he's bigger then anyone at the club and he is the chosen one Danny Haynes attitude all over I'm to big .

I was being polite when I called him a clown, he was useless as a player and is useless at scouting players.

 

Valencic came here on the back of a video his ex manager sent in to Branstons website, looking after his own interests before the clubs?? I'll let you decide.....
