From now on for JS

Pre-Season has started with training, we are still being linked with additional players and the squad is looking quite optimistic at this stage. However, from now on - what do you hope John Sheridan does?

Do you feel any players need letting go? Perhaps you would like to see another position signed?

If we didn't sign any more players how would you feel? For me, I still hope we can sign an extra striker and a defensive midfielder. I think these two positions are vital - if no players leave, I hope JS tracks players for the January transfer window (which is where I believe we will require further tweaking).

Like I mentioned in my article - Here | I hope he uses the pre-season to form and establish his starting 11. Obviously things will change but I would like to see our squad settle down as early possible.

What about you? What areas are important for building for promotion or 'stability' in League Two? Discuss....

I think we currently have a squad of 24(? and not including registered coaches), of which 3 are first year pros, so I can't see any more than a couple coming in, unless some can be moved on. Personally I would like to see a dedicated centre half coming in along with another striker ahead of any more midfielders and the issue I'm seeing now is the folly of giving Atkinson and Hollis new contracts, as I can't see them getting much game time.

I think JS has done well to move on the players we have that were on two year contracts, but there are several more that need adding to the list. The above (Hollis and Atkinson), along with McLeod and Campbell, can all leave for me  and there are several more from last year I'm not too fussed about. For that reason I'm not expecting a full on promotion push, we might flirt with the playoffs, but I think 2017/18 will be our year.

I'd also like to see Jordan Richards included in the match day squads and think he might, but he will have to work really hard to impress a manager who has admitted that he is looking at experienced players primarily. If Jordan turns out to be 7/10ths as good as Pedro, then we could have a heck of a player on our hands.

i think with a striker, winger and another midfielder who can defend it will be a job well done.

i dont think that there is much else he needs to do but things are looking good at the min. i also want to see him settle the squad down, i think its important that we try players but i think its better when its done with them around the ones considered the best. moniz seemed to have favourites and i hope this is not the case for js.
