Good luck to the youth team, it should be a nice little test for them.

I think some of our members plan to be going to it, as I recall seeing comments else where.

Notts media seemed to have missed opening goal!!!

Only Tamar Clayton Naute enhanced his credentials, Jordan Richards the only other player which came out of the game with credit.

Romulus #9 Anthony Smith, the stand out player. The ability to strike a ball a la Hasselbank... Notts need to look seriously at signing him

I saw a post on FB. It said that most of the local talent around Notts were going to clubs like Leeds and that Notts and Forest weren't getting much of a look in. Sign of the times I suppose.

@Dripsey3 What was evident last night, Romulus had a physically strong and tall team. We couldnt match them. I came away from the match slightly disheartened, as there was some skill in our team, we werent allowed to impose on the game. A very poor offside decision denied us a good opportunity of an equaliser.

I did a bit of digging. Romulus started out in the preliminary round. They won 10-1, 8-0, 2-1 & 3-1 to make it to the first round proper. Knocked out Kettering and Kidderminister which are big enough scalps. Obviously beating Notts is their biggest scalp so far but maybe they will surprise a few more teams in later rounds.

Is Tamar Clayton-Naute the tiny lad who played in one of the development / reserve games last season?  If it is he didn't look big enough to be a ball boy and seemed a bit overawed, but was lightning fast with good control.

What right do you have to tell me I'm wrong?  You're not my Granddaughter.

@Elite_pie yes, that's the one. Speed and control were excellent. Would offer something that Rodman currently doesn't.
