Jon Stead returning for Peterborough game?

Featured Replies

Notts are hoping to have leading scorer Jon Stead back for their FA Cup tie at home to Peterborough on Sunday.

The striker resumed training last week after more than a month out with an ankle injury and was pencilled in to play for the reserves on Tuesday but the game was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

A late decision will be made on his fitness.

Do you want to see him back against Posh, to try and help us into the third round, or would you rather wrap him in cotton wool for the league?

given the perceived financial position, Notts need a FA cup payday at Old Trafford..so we need a chance by being in the 3rd round

If it's a case of leaving it till late to give him that bit longer , that seems to suggest he is approaching a return , maybe not quite there yet, as much as I want to make the 3rd round , not at any cost we need him in the league so for me if it's a big risk I say no save him for the league .

If he made his return in the League I imagine he would feel the pressure to give 100% to every challenge and opportunity, whereas a return on Sunday would perhaps mean a bit less pressure, and not play the full 90 minutes?
