Have we missed Shola in the starting line-up?

When Shola Ameobi got injured, I personally felt like we might struggle - despite having faith in Jonathan Forte. For me, Shola is a work horse and he just compliments our play above expectations.

I'm curious if fans felt we missed him, or if we became stronger for his absence?

Personally, I think in certain games we clearly did miss him but I think it's highlighted the depth we have. Plus how capable the squad is at adapting and covering positions. We all felt that our strike-force would require a brief rest here and there, perhaps even not playing twice in a row but it's not been the case.

It will be a big boost IMO to have Shola Ameobi back, and I'm hoping he can grab himself a goal!

@Chris Agree with that to be honest , think the results have been great apart from Mansfield , so you could argue results wise we have been ok without the big man , but for me I'm glad he is back gives us real presence up top , COYP

i don't actually think we missed him that much, but its nice to see him back, and would be good to see him get a goal or 2.

I hope he's still needing match time, as today he didn't look very interested and I found his performance to be very disappointing (though the majority of players just played badly too).

I want to see Ameobi and Forte up front together drop Stead that's our best strike force for me.

shola does not look fit, i think he was frustrated also because he was being pulled right left and centre.

even by players normally he would have shrugged off. he needs time tho!
