Eastleigh came to ML 2 games ago, hardly broke a sweat, and left with the 3 points. That was one of the poorest performances by Notts this season. There was signs of improvement last Saturday, ruined by the conceding of a late goal against 10 men which cost us 2 points. Eastleigh are level on points with us but we have 2 games in hand. A win for Notts would be a big blow to Eastleigh's playoff hopes. I expect this will be a cagey affair but I have a feeling that Notts will sneak it. 2-1 to Notts for me.

They had two shots and scored both of them. That’s 6 points we’ve given Eastleigh and they did literally nothing in both games... 😤😩

True but the effort last night was much better than at Meadow Lane. Notts didn't take their chances. Conceded another goal from a set piece. If Notts could turn chances into goals we'd score 2 or more most games.

The performance was OK - a largely average performance in the grand scheme of things, but certainly better than in recent times. However, we were never going to score. Wootton's finishing was so bad it was hilarious. We squandered so many chances and you knew that we would concede from a cross into our box.

Ideally you'd rest Wootton for a  bit - he's been terrible for a while now, but our recruitment is that good that we simply don't have anybody else.

People that still hold any hope for this season need to let go. Even if we sneak the play-offs, we'd need a whole mountain of luck just to get through the first game.
