I'm pleased for Jim, he's a good player and always reliable. I noticed a fair amount of moaning about him starting with Doyle/Reeves - people saying it doesn't work. He always tries his best, sometimes he might not be a solid performer but its down to how the team players.

It's also weird knowing Charlie Slater wasn't at the game and somewhat out of sync at the time of the match, yet it blends in as if there was no difference.

As you say, nice guy, good pro.

I think the concern with him being in with Reeves and Doyle was always based on his instructions. His placement on the field and his position in the formation.

I’m not a fan of all three, but it worked well last game. Imo, not something we can use after this season though. The lack of pace and energy in the middle is criminal!
