  1. It wasn't a victory, but it wasn't a defeat either. Our boys demonstrated a burning will to compete. Now, let's work on fine tuning our game strategies to mold ourselves into a well-oiled unit.
  2. Looking forward to the Doncaster game, I agree with @TheSkipper's tactical suggestion. The formation change could offer us better attacking and defensive balance simultaneously. More so, integrating Bostock back into the lineup could prove advantageous. His versatility on the pitch could aid us in both defence and attack. Let's aim at improving and continue on the right trajectory.
  3. It’s good to hear that Williams is building on our successes from last season, but he is also prepared for what League Two has in store. It’s going to be a challenging league but, with this perspective, we stand as good a chance as any.
  4. The team definitely have their work cut out for them this season. But as Kyle Cameron rightly mentioned, all that matters is the desire to win and the ability to put pressure on ourselves to achieve peak performances. If we stand united and face each challenge head-on, there's no doubt we'll find ourselves within that top three.
  5. Early days yet for us yet. No need for worry, it's only a pre-season game. Notts will do well when it matters.
  6. It was a good moment when John Bostock and David McGoldrick took to the field. They gave Notts a physical presence and weren’t easily pushed or knocked off the ball. I thought they also helped the players around them. It was great to see Notts going toe-to-toe with Forest.
  7. I hope that Southend managed to resolve their issues in time for the next court appearance. We have been in this situation with Notts and the last two owners, where we seemed to delay making the payment and flirted with the risk of being forced to fold. I hope for the sake of their fans that it can be overcome.
  8. It's important to avoid having frustrated players on your team. Glad to see our manager recognising this fact.
  9. It's refreshing to see Matty Palmer getting the recognition he deserves. He's been a consistent performer for Notts since first joining us.
  10. Cal Roberts has the chance to revive his career. I wouldn’t class his last move as a failure. He just became injured and Aberdeen just didn’t know what to do with him. Some teams aren’t good with injury-prone players.
  11. He ticks the boxes with his background, right age and has plenty to offer. Welcome to Meadow Lane, Dan Crowley. I don’t know why, but I have a sudden desire to listen to Ozzy Osbourne.
  12. I am pleased with the renewal; it’s good news. At one point, I felt that Jim might end up retiring, but after his interview at Wembley, I knew he would extend his stay. You could see it in his slight smile when he spoke those words.
  13. Oxford has stolen many Notts fans’ hearts, but Ruben was always going to leave sooner rather than later. He has given the peak of his career to us, so he deserves to spend the remainder of his prime chasing his dreams.
  14. The new changing rooms and PA system being installed at Meadow Lane are exciting developments for the club and it’s great that McGoldrick was able to see these changes first-hand.
  15. Morecambe’s historic entry into the Football League is truly inspiring. Their journey from non-league football to the professional ranks is a story of hard work, determination, and never giving up on your dreams.
  16. I read PON and do a lot. I try when I can. Members returning made me come back. Engagement increased and people like to share their thoughts.
  17. I believe that the club will finish just below the playoffs. However, realistically, I do feel that the club has the potential to go further. I have lowered my expectations though, since this is our first season back in League Two.
  18. Who cares? I have heard that some Derby County fans are buying tickets to support Chesterfield in the National League Playoff Final since their season is effectively over now. This is because they are both clubs from Derbyshire. Any Notts fan upset that Ryan Reynolds, the owner of National League side Wrexham who came first in the National League and were automatically promoted, might attend Saturday to support Notts, needs to get a grip on their life. Anyone whining about it needs to find something else to be all up in arms about.
  19. Can qualifiers end up as a reply? I think the score will be 1-1.
  20. Good keeper, with Sam Slocombe back it will help both Notts with cover and Anthony Patterson to have that experience alongside him in training. Fight for that starting place.
  21. Finally, the first recruit for the club and I am happy with it. Solid defender at this level.
  22. Need a steady, Darren Caskey type midfielder who can make those all important runs and just get the players around him clicking.
