  1. Mick Vinter's passing is a heartbreaking loss for the Notts County community. As a player, he was renowned for his physicality and goal-scoring abilities, which made him a force to be reckoned with on the pitch. His time at the club was marked by impressive performances and significant contributions to the team's success. Vinter's commitment to the club extended beyond his playing days, as he stayed involved in coaching and charitable work. His impact and presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will forever be cherished by the fans and the club.
  2. Thrilled with Luke Williams' focus on integration and adaptation for the new arrivals. Building a strong relationship between new and existing players is key to the team's success.
  3. Fantastic news for Notts! Nemane's contract extension is well-deserved. He’s a game-changer.
  4. Matt Palmer is a credit to the club; he could still easily be playing in League One. I have no doubt about it. The map in the original post, I don’t doubt. He’s all over the place and rarely puts a foot wrong.
  5. The Hills Have Eyes, Wrong Turn, Reeker, Descent, and Jeepers Creepers are among the best that I last watched. I gave up with the genre when directors started thinking that doors being slammed and weak efforts to scare you were enough. The 80s was the best decade for horror!
  6. I recognise his face from games. It’s a good story and very interesting to see that he found his wife at a Notts game. That might be rarer than some fans think, but it’s a nice touch to this story.
  7. He sounds like he has a good background and is at the right age to be emotionally ready for first-team football. I hope he has the attitude to bounce back from setbacks, unlike what we saw with Ross Fitzsimons. He will have to compete with Tiernan Brooks and Sam Slocombe for a starting spot.
  8. Charlie, sit properly when you’re interviewing someone; don’t sit all smug with your foot under yourself. It’s a good interview, but Slater is like a chalkboard to me.
  9. The club is doing well, not only with recruitment and the measures Notts has in place to identify talent that can take the club further, but also with winning players on board. I think Luke Williams will play a further role in demonstrating that we are building in the right way. Everything Dan Crowley says reflects so well on Notts right now.
  10. It’s a satisfactory draw; no complaints from me. Plenty of different teams to play home and away, no real extensive run of either home or away games grouped together in a row.
  11. I’ve also chosen David McGoldrick, mainly because I value his experience. I think he’s a good addition to the squad and I’m particularly interested to see how he performs.
  12. Dan Crowley has had an interesting career, starting at Villa and moving to Arsenal. A lot of good players have also come from Coventry. I wonder what makes the city so special in producing talented players? I think he will be a fine player for Notts.
  13. Our time in the National League has indeed made the club rethink things. With the new ownership at the beginning, it was the reset that we needed. Seeing Notts finish consistently in the playoffs shows the forward thinking of the club. I enjoyed the article and feel that it captured the ups and downs of the team’s journey.
  14. I would agree that Notts has evolved since Cal was here. He was a great player, albeit a bit too prone to injury, but he should do well for Scunthorpe United who need to get back up to the National League quickly.
  15. Dan Crowley is a good signing for Notts, his wiki seems very positive and his arrival comes as a boost.
  16. This does indeed look to be a very good signing, and I’m glad you’re impressed. The recruitment does seem to be adding quality into the areas where we most need that extra bit of quality. Dan Crowley looks to be an excellent addition to the team.
  17. It’s great to see O’Brien’s perseverance pay off with Notts. He’s a true professional and a credit to the club. Despite the club’s relegation to the National League, he's remained with the club and played under several good managers who wanted to keep him on board. His hard work and determination paid off when the club was finally promoted back to the Football League. O’Brien’s journey with us shows he's a genuine character and it’s fantastic to see him succeed with the club.
  18. Do you think my remarks about people being nutters have offended you? Is this what he’s like with you @Fan of Big Tone? He’ll have to do better than that to stay on my good side, whichever side that may be. I don’t quite know.
  19. When he originally signed, it gave hope that we could survive. I know some fans wanted to get rid of everything to do with that squad and some feel Neal Ardley could have done better. I think from the moment Jim O’Brien put on his first Notts shirt, he didn’t stop fighting for us. He’s a good player and I hope he retires playing at Meadow Lane. It’s got to be on his terms. Modern football doesn’t have much loyalty to the players, but we ask it from them.
  20. Yes, very much so. When did we last have four seasons without any major disasters? The fact that we have had three managers during those years, with only one being Notts’ decision. I think it’s very much like a daydream. The recruitment is like a nice tasty dessert you see in a fancy restaurant; you know it will be good and it’s worth every penny.
  21. Great news! I like that he’s agreed to a new deal as he could have easily been off. It leaves Aaron Nemane in question now. Will he commit or leave?
  22. I have followed some members, the regular faces and people who are interesting. I may follow a few more myself. If this were Twitter, nobody would notice me.
  23. Go on Jodi! Run riot against the Three Lions and show Oxford United what they have lost out on while giving us a pleasing viewing experience to get over the departure of Ruben. Good luck!
  24. This is a brilliant story of a fan’s background and history of supporting Notts. He’s right, some fans are fickle, but many are superb and have backed this club all the way. Some just like to moan a bit too much; it’s more about their character. Great story.
  25. This article has many noteworthy points and Jim provides a polished and focused interview. I must say that when he eventually retires, I will miss seeing his name on the team sheet. On the other hand, I am excited to see O’Brien and Randall back in a Notts team again.
