  2. Jacob Bedeau's comments on his time at Morecambe offer insight into his journey as a player. It’s refreshing to see someone speak so fondly of a past club whilst being fully committed to their current team. His reflections show maturity and an understanding of the game that goes beyond just tactical knowledge. At Notts, Jacob seems to be thriving, and his positive outlook on our promotion chances is infectious. His ability to adapt to different styles, both defensively and offensively, makes him a versatile asset. Here's hoping for a clean sheet and a win against Morecambe.
  3. I think it’s good that the club has decided to bring someone in, and finding a player with this kind of experience at this stage is a good thing. I was wondering if an attacking option would come in because Cedwyn Scott is out, as a way not to rush him back. A winger does give some cover, but I thought Kellan Gordon would fill that role. It’s good for depth, but it does leave some questions.
  4. That doesn’t make him a genius though. If you are aware of how he speaks and acts, you will have realised he has a very limited vocabulary. Writing a book as a famous person would most likely sell. There have been many celebrities considered to be not quite smart, to be polite, who have written more than one book to land on the best sellers list. Making a fool out of yourself in Morecambe, after losing a big fight that you claimed in a press conference you had won, and saying people only gave the win because his opponent’s nationality is at war, further highlights the lack of brain cells.
  5. We need our regular starters to be at their very best. I think Kellan Gordon should cover Jodi’s absence well. He looks to have a good cross on him and he works hard, so I see that as no real concern at the moment. I hope he uses the time to show he’s more than a squad member. With his goal in the EFL Trophy against Burton, I think he’ll be keen to get another goal to his name. Notts should remain largely unchanged from the Gillingham game.
  6. Yes, I have heard the stories about some of the cups and trophies being melted down for scrap. There was talk that some had been taken during the sale to the supporters’ group. I doubt we’ll ever know the truth, but it’s a sad part of the club’s history.
  7. I don’t remember Jack Barmby at all. I do recall us taking him on loan from Leicester City, I think it was, but as to how he did, it’s gone now.
  8. I wish Ricardo Moniz all the best. He looks super fancy in that suit. It’s nice to see him wear something that makes him stand out more. I wonder if he wears his pilot jacket still?
  9. It sounds like the Morecambe fan has already given Notts the points. Defensively, Notts might be in a better position, but we can’t underestimate them. Control the game and play our usual approach. Hopefully, we come away with the points without leaving Morecambe in a worse state. Out of the teams in League Two, they are not one I wish relegation on. It’s always made for a great away game.
  10. I am pleased with the win. The EFL Trophy doesn’t mean much to me, but I am delighted that Stuart Maynard gave several youngsters a chance. They performed well, especially against more experienced players. Robbie Cundy doesn’t seem to be the best signing we’ve made.
  11. The United States has some very good talent that a good coach could bring out. It is obviously money motivating the decision, but that is football these days. He should do well enough with them.
  12. Tyson Fury is a simpleton who trash talks like a 6-year-old. He is a decent boxer, but not as good as he thinks. Antony Joshua can be unprofessional, but he is realistic. He has a few more years of fighting left, and beating Fury would prove a point. That fight will be big, but I expect Fury to come up with something to avoid it. Usyk taught him a lesson.
  13. He looks like a talented lad. I think it’s good that Notts didn’t throw him straight into the game but used his time on the pitch well. It gives us something to hope for, as we have seen many young players come and go. But I don’t know, James Sanderson, Riley Reynolds, and Kameron Muir have something special about them. I hope they continue to flourish, but what an honour for Muir to have.
  14. Great gallery! I’m sure the fans featured are thrilled to see their photos. You’ve done Notts proud, @Chris.
  15. Things took a negative turn at Notts when he was here, then at Forest, and later at Solihull Moors. Solihull Moors had been doing quite well before Craig Cope was appointed. He changes his job title when talking about his time at Notts; he was a performance analyst .The tweet might not show.
  16. Putting aside the result, Notts had the chances to win, but unfortunately, it wasn’t our day. I thought the officiating was poor, but we had several chances to make something of the game, and sometimes that’s how it ends. I am encouraged, considering we only just fell short. I thought Sam Austin’s goal should have stood.
  17. Luton Town 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday Sheffield United 1-2 Derby County ????Joker Bolton Wanderers 2-0 Reading Peterborough United 3-1 Bristol Rovers Bradford City 1-- AFC Wimbledon Salford City 1-2 Walsall Hartlepool United 0-1 Dagenham & Redbridge Oldham Athletic 2-1 Yeovil Town
  18. He was ahead of his time in many ways, and his success in the modern game might depend on various factors. I think Brian Clough may have struggled to match his past success with how the game changed in the 90s and up to this point. I would like to think Jimmy Sirrel could do wonders in the lower levels. Cloughie may have been more like Neil Warnock, successful in relative terms but not to the same degree as in their real-life careers.
  19. Gillingham aren’t as good as they think. They have done well so far and deserve credit for that, but comparing our sides, we are very blessed, and that quality should shine through. I think it will be a lively encounter, with the first half ending 0-0. The second half is where I imagine the action will unfold, and I hope it is in favour of Notts rather than them.
  20. I think you can see that the club is approaching each team differently as we are attacking them in various ways. We’re becoming less reliant on using the wider areas of the pitch, which has been predictable in recent years. Still, it’s very good and promising football. I praise the team’s efforts in working hard to break down teams. I don’t really listen to much about how teams’ defences are doing; they haven’t faced us, and likewise, we haven’t really had a tough game so far.
  21. A good FA Cup run could be beneficial, but I fear fans might dismiss it in favour of focusing on the league, especially if Notts remains top. It could be a good chance to rotate some of the players who normally wouldn’t get many minutes, and the money could be useful. Winning games breeds confidence and could have a more positive effect than it would impact the club’s league chances. It would be good to see us make the 3rd or 4th round.
  22. We have players who can step in, but it would be good to know the status of Lucas Ness, Cedwyn Scott, and Rod McDonald. I hope Curtis Edwards comes back stronger, as he’s clearly a very good player.
  23. Good insights! It’s nice to read level-headed fans talk and open up about their team. I wasn’t aware of their injury issues. It says a lot about them for being able to continue as if it doesn’t affect them. So, good start for them, but I am hoping we can keep winning at Meadow Lane. No game is easy, but we have to be at our best, and a good performance would build more confidence.
  24. The defending for the first goal was very poor. Right from kick-off, we were under pressure again. This is why Notts shouldn’t always pass the ball all the way back. Instead of inviting pressure, they should try to find space ahead of them. This way, they might get comfortable on the ball and find it less challenging.
  25. Notts has always needed to rely on the squad. It’s just that it’s taken time to sign players who are good enough to rotate whilst still maintaining a solid team performance. I think the squad now has a lot of talent. The only player I am unsure about is Robbie Cundy, but the rest have fitted in well. Cundy could improve over time, but he’s the only player who doesn’t quite fit our squad right now.
