  1. The graphics and design work shown here are exceptional! I wouldn’t know the first thing about digital art or even Photoshop. I’m still trying to figure out how to use MS Paint!
  2. Welcome @nottsfan81! Buckle up for a wild ride of knowledge and fun!
  3. If every Notts player puts in a good effort and works hard on Sunday, I am confident about the final outcome. The most important factor will be the officials. Notts can score goals, but it is important that the officials make the right decisions. If the game is well-officiated, I have no concerns. However, if the focus is on the officials rather than the game, it may be difficult for Notts to score. I hope it won't be like the Dagenham & Redbridge game.
  4. It’s very kind of @nightOWL to come and wish Notts all the best. Good luck with your own season next year!
  5. Hello @Canadian, welcome back to the community! What are your thoughts on this season? Did you expect the club to be in competition with Wrexham for the title at the start of the season?
  6. Macaulay Langstaff is one of those rare players that we can just sit back and enjoy his time at Notts without fear of transfer speculation. It would be amazing if he could break into the top five all-time goalscorers for the club. Let’s show our support and cheer him on!
  7. Notts has a lot of attacking options. One addition I would like to see is the arrival of Jodi Jones on a permanent basis. If Ruben Rodrigues leaves, Jones or Sam Austin could fill that void. Both would be decent replacements, but I hope he stays. Ruben has a chance to cement something at Notts, which might not work out for him if he leaves. Wishful thinking is that he stays. The defense needs further work. I would like to see another strong center back arrive and someone to continue to get the best out of Adam Chicksen. Signing Joel Taylor seemed a masterstroke by Notts as he helped get the most out of Chicksen. If the new left back is versatile, it would leave game minutes elsewhere when Chicksen is irreplaceable. I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Frank Vincent, but he needs to work harder to increase his game time.
  8. Welcome to the group @JohnTheBost! We're glad to have you here. The Pride of Nottingham is a very friendly community and we value everyone's opinions. Whether you're young Xavier or not, we encourage you to share your thoughts on Notts. We're looking forward to hearing from you!
  9. I think the Chesterfield game was a classic and a true judge of the character of Notts. It may turn out to be even more important depending on how the playoffs work out.
  10. Notts has been smart with their spending fees and strengthening the squad. I have never felt that Notts were in a position to throw silly money away in order to get out of the league. That can create its own trouble. I also remember reading that the Reedtz took on the debt without a view to claim it back from off the club.
  11. I thought going off the title, you had watched all the games in attendance. That would have been a blast! Though just sitting at home with your popcorn and remote. But hey, nothing beats the San Sirrel, right? The best stadium in the world, hands down.
  12. It’s hard not to vote for Macaulay Langstaff as the player of the season. He’s been outstanding and has played a key role in the success of the club. All of the players on the list have been important, but Langstaff gets my vote. It’s not just because of the impressive number of goals he’s scored, but also because of the positive attitude he’s shown while breaking records. He’s a true asset to the team.
  13. I’ve cast my vote for the player of the season and it was a tough decision. There were three or four players who I thought were strong contenders and it made the choice even harder. In the end, I decided to go with John Bostock for his incredible free kick against Wrexham. It was a moment that really stood out for me.
  14. I’ve cast my vote for the player of the season, but I won’t reveal who it is. It was a tough decision and one that I didn’t take lightly. There were so many strong contenders and it took a lot of thought and consideration before I finally made my choice.
  15. Matty Palmer is definitely my player of the season. He’s always in the thick of the action, making his presence felt on the field. On the rare occasions when he wasn’t playing, his absence was noticeable and we missed his contributions. Thankfully, those moments were few and far between.
  16. Renewing my season ticket was an absolute must for me. I was on it like a car bonnet, making sure to sort it out just a few days after they became available. There’s not a chance I’d miss out on the opportunity to cheer on my team and soak up the buzz for another season. I’m a die-hard fan through and through!
  17. I’m happy to play against either Boreham Wood or Bromley. It would be great if Chesterfield falters, but I have a feeling it will be us facing them in the final.
  18. Great news! Adam Chicksen has been brilliant this season. He has contributed with goals, assists and man of the match performances. He clearly has a strong relationship now with the players and coaching staff. Luke Williams has brought the best out of a solid left back. The 2-year deal is great to retain such a player as the club tries to move forward again. Although defensively he could be better at times, when he’s fully fit and not fatigued he’s outstanding!
  19. Recently, I’ve found that the only games I have time for are Notts games. Most other sports have lost their appeal to me and don’t have the same inviting feeling or lure that Meadow Lane has. There’s something special about attending a football match, a real sense of pride that I don’t get from other sports.
  20. Adam Chicksen has had a remarkable season for Notts County and is dedicated to helping his teammates improve. He has decided to stay at the club for another two years, thanks in part to the leadership and values of his coach, Luke Williams. Frank Vincent has also been making a strong impression since returning from his loan spell. With such a strong team mentality, it’s no surprise that Notts County has been successful this season
  21. I'd like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Wrexham on their remarkable triumph in the 2022-23 National League campaign! The team's outstanding performance is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and skill, from the players to the coaching staff and everyone behind the scenes. Wrexham has truly proved themselves to be a formidable team this season, with their consistent displays, attacking flair, and never-give-up spirit being a joy to watch. They have demonstrated that they have the ability to compete at the highest level, and this title win is a fitting recognition of their efforts. Credit must also go to the fans of Wrexham, whose unwavering support has undoubtedly played a part in driving the team forward to this momentous achievement. I offer my sincerest congratulations once again to Wrexham on their National League title win. It's a victory that will be remembered for years to come, and I wish them all the best for the future as they continue to achieve great things. @DangerousSausage In the era of Mohamed Al Fayed, Fulham recruited talent from the old First Division and Premier League under the leadership of Kevin Keegan, and managed to elevate their position from what is currently known as League One (the old Second Division).
  22. Notts County should play a strong game against York City. Matt Palmer is a key player who holds the ball and distributes it without fuss. If Macaulay Langstaff starts, he should have plenty of efforts on goal. Aden Baldwin, Kyle Cameron and whoever joins them at the back need to work tirelessly to remain alert. Keeping a clean sheet with few efforts on goal would be a big confidence boost going into the playoffs. Arron Nemane, Adam Chicksen, Sam Austin and Ruben Rodrigues will be priorities with the creative aspects. And if needs be, Luke Williams can wrestle each match official to the ground and chase them off if their decision making turns out to be poor. That’s one way to keep the game fair!
  23. Looks like Luke Williams is not only a great manager but also a skilled deer chaser! The players must be feeling confident knowing their coach can handle anything that comes their way - even if it's a deer on the training ground. Let's hope they can carry this agility and persistence into their match against York City at the weekend!
  24. Jim O’Brien’s experience and attitude on the field are truly something special. He brings a level of skill and determination that can’t be taught. His passion for the game and his drive to succeed set him apart from the rest. It’s clear that his experience has shaped him into the player he is today, and his attitude is a reflection of his dedication to the sport.
  25. At 3-2, one might have thought “here we go again” as we’ve experienced similar collapses in previous seasons. But this squad is different. Maidstone United deserve credit for not giving up. From the highlights, it could have easily been a hammering for them, but they turned it into a real game.
