Stuart Maynardโs Optimism: Key Players Return as Notts County Prepares for Gillingham Showdown
Itโs good news about the returning players. Defensively, I think we are fine. My concerns are more with Cedwyn Scott and the front line, as this is an area we canโt lose too many players. I know we have Jevani Brown, who could come in, but as I say, itโs largely positive news. I think Stuart Maynard has a good chance of managing the situation with injuries and giving some players who might not have had minutes more time.

Dan Crowley: "My Focus Is on Notts. Iโm a Notts County Player."
You have to respect and appreciate what Dan Crowley brings to the team. Heโs 27 now, and for us, we could go up the leagues with him as one of our star players. I donโt think thereโs much sense in worrying; we just have to enjoy the football and value what he brings week in and week out. Heโs such a quality player and a big part of the success we are experiencing. I am pleased to read his comments about the new players settling in. Heโs right about how not changing every style or completely overhauling the squad helps to bring in settled players.

Notts County Sells Out Allocation for Chesterfield FC Clash
They flew very quickly. Itโs a shame that some fans wonโt be attending because the wrong people got hold of tickets, but itโs great to have so many fans going. I just hope most of them are regulars and have been to more than one or two games. This fixture is for the die-hard fans. Iโm a bit unsure about this loyalty scheme, though. Iโve seen comments from fans who missed out, which makes you wonder, but itโs a good thing overall.

Opposition View: Gillingham FC Fans on Their Promotion Push & Tough Test Against Notts County
It should be a good game. I would take a draw myself, but I think itโs a game where both teams must give their best. I thought it was interesting how PON highlighted the other day that last year we were second and Gillingham were top. It shows both teams started brightly again, so letโs hope Saturdayโs game is a thriller.

Iconic landmark maybe, Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power Station to close
Goodbye to what looks like the Simpsons' opening credits of the Burnsโ power plant. That scenery on a match day will be strange not to see, but itโs for the best.

MK Dons boss targeted by Carlisle Utd
It would be funny if MK Dons did end up losing their manager and the replacement didnโt know what to do with the squad, so they ended up struggling like they did at the beginning of the season. Franchise FC believe they are bigger than League Two.

Jones and Crowley make EFL Team of the Week (that's all of the EFL, not just EFL2)!
This should be the official EFL team. The one shared by @Chris makes no sense not to have Jodi Jones but has Dan Crowley. Two assists and goals must be their focus rather than performance and two clinical finishes. Jodi inspired Notts to win against Bromley. I am glad for Dan.

Happy birthday CliftonMagpie
Thank you for all the birthday messages, itโs very kind! I didnโt expect it. I actually didnโt get any gifts, as I ask relatives not to bother, but I did get plenty of cards. I spent a few hours with close family and had a homemade meal with them. Nothing all that exciting, but itโs always good to see family!

Morecambe FC : Fact of the day
Poor start. If they donโt improve sooner rather than later, it could force them into a relegation battle and a squad with no hope of survival. Itโs not good for Morecambe!

Notts County Women v Mansfield Town Women
Well done to the Notts Womenโs team. Glad they hammered Mansfield. It must be nice to be on the other end of 6 goals, and I mean this with only respect!

How Jodi Jonesโ Extension Sets the Stage for Notts Countyโs Future
This is a great read, mate. I think you summed up everything very well. Jodi Jones is a different class at this level. We were so fortunate to land him in the National League. He helped us massively then, but since his contract and all the comments heโs made after, about wanting to get goals, you can see it in his play. Such a brilliant and exciting player to watch. His deal is more than just stability for him or just a three-year deal. Itโs commitment and a sign that the clubโs heading in the right direction. The fact he feels he needs to further repay the club shows his class off the field, and his actions on it prove how fortunate we are.

Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Ravens (A)
Itโs great how the squad handled the setback. Going 2-0 down early in a game is tough, but they fought back to win 4-2. Notts showed a lot of class and determination. Itโs pleasing to see the squad support each other and focus on their performances, instead of getting frustrated. I am happy for Stuart Maynard too.

MAGnets link - Bromley
Devon Kelly-Evans didnโt play for them either. Itโs easy to confuse teams or mistakenly think a player did.

Matt Palmer Reflects on โLong Roadโ to Returning for Notts County
You wouldnโt know that Matt Palmer prefers starting because he finds it harder to get into the game. He just goes about everything so smoothly and controlled. I think people mistake captains as being loud and in your face, but when you have someone calm and steady with their performance, they can encourage the players around them. It was great to see Palmer back. Heโs had it tough while injured and he was missed. Itโs fantastic to see him getting minutes. I look forward to him playing 90 minutes like he did before his injury. Heโs that important to this team.

'Incredible Mentalityโ: Stuart Maynard Reflects on Notts Countyโs 4-2 Victory
It was pleasing to see Jodi Jones calmly convert the penalty. Their keeper almost got to it, but it was excellently placed by Jodi. The start can be like that; teams spring a surprise, and Bromley might feel they should have used the 2-0 lead more to their advantage. I donโt know, I feel itโs more frustrating to lead a game and lose it than to start on the back foot and impressively overturn it with a 4-2 victory. I have clips of the game and the highlights. Notts looked like they played some classy football.

Match Discussion: Game 6 - The Ravens (A)
We are much improved since our last match, with higher quality in our play, but this won't matter if we don't perform well or reach our full potential. They have many of the same players, so we could review past games, which Iโm sure the club has done using Football League footage. We are now at the same level, so both teams will be closely matched and will aim for the best result. I believe we should do well, or at least I hope so. A draw wouldnโt be too bad, but Iโd be happier if we can push for a win without conceding or losing.

Attendances at The San Sirrel
The football helps, and so does being back in League Two. Many clubs that learned from being relegated out of the EFL and are capable of promotion tend to see a renewed interest and bigger crowds. Our owners are always improving things off the pitch, and weโre seeing investment on it too, which Iโm sure gets peopleโs attention. I think Jason Palmer knows this, and so should the club.

Jodi Jones - New contract
You canโt underestimate the importance of this news, and you canโt downplay it either. Heโs ours until a bid comes in, and the contract gives us more time. If he leaves during that time, it will be our decision. As for the positivity, just read or listen to what Jodi has said about his choice. If you ever needed proof that someone is committed to Notts, heโs the one. He wants to improve, but with us. We should be delighted. I wanted to jump around like a madman, but thatโs not a good idea, so I just stuck to doing fist bumps! I understand some caution, but Macca is different. Jodi Jones reached the Championship with Coventry City, and without his injuries, I doubt theyโd have let him go. Macca spent a long time in the National League, so you canโt blame him for wanting to test himself. Jodi had a short stint in the National League, and he knows League Two and League One well. He knows heโs happy here, itโs great news!

Stuart Maynard; Is He Winning Over His Doubters?
All winning does with those extreme negative fans is shut them up, but they quickly come back, criticising the head coach and the club. As for the genuine doubters, they need to get on board and believe. Stay positive and see how the season unfolds. Stuart Maynard hasnโt done much wrong this season, so I donโt see why that doesnโt deserve some faith. Surely fans can see how well Notts are doing? Those who canโt, Iโd imagine, are just being foolish.

Luke Garrard Back At Boreham Wood
Itโs similar to Duncan Fergusonโs short-term appointment at FGR, where they sacked him and then re-hired him. It shows he cares about the club.

Back From The Dead
Oh dear, WRM. I hope you and your family are okay; it must have been a shock and worry for them. Iโm glad about the outcome, but Iโm still concerned. We treat everyone like family here, thatโs how itโs always been, and I just hope the worst is behind you now. Please take care of yourself. Itโs good to see you back.
