  1. It’s been a while since I’ve been invested in a TV series, but I try to support Shane Meadows and William Ivory as they’re Notts fans. This show does sound like something I would enjoy.
  2. I’m pleased that Forest has agreed to play Notts again. I think it’s good for Nottingham and both clubs. I wonder if we might consider taking some of their players on loan? If we can acquire a couple of quality players, I don’t see any harm in working with them.
  3. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham! I hope you settle in well and enjoy the community @two for joy.
  4. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @McSwegansRightPeg. I hope to see you joining in from time to time.
  5. Rawlinson is a class act, both as a player and as a person. He’s always been loyal and dedicated to Notts and he deserves this reward. He’s been a key part of our success and I’m sure he’ll continue to be. He’s got the experience and the mentality to help us challenge for the title next season.
  6. I'm very disappointed in @super_ram. I gave him a clue very early on and he didn't bother to even have a go. The number of times he's asked if the player had any connection to Derby County... and when you say yes, he doesn't even have a go. Well done, @Fan of Big Tone. You've guessed correctly. @Fozzy needs to be careful! Points Table: @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 3 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie- 1 @super_ram - 1 Right, now we’ve reached round 10. I’ll come back tomorrow to do round 11. When we get to round 20, I’ll throw in some trivia and see if anyone can gain some bonus points. There’s logic to my madness and madness to my mayhem. Make sure you keep an eye on this!
  7. I must commend Notts County for offering Connell Rawlinson a 2-year-deal. His experience and strong character suit us just right. I understand some people doubt his pace, but I'm over the moon he's staying on. I believe he'll make a great contribution to the upcoming season. Well played, Notts!
  8. This is brill news, isn't it? His know-how and spirit are spot on for moving things ahead. Well chuffed he's got a 2-year deal. Great news!
  9. I believe Notts are a bit more appealing than Stockport County. Our team's got a solid connection among the players and staff, and the recent promotion has given us a good boost. Stockport, on the other hand, didn't make it, so other clubs might fancy nicking their top players. I'd say a player would be more tempted to jump ship over there because they didn't get promoted. We're lucky not to have that worry, but I believe our club should make clear what they're aiming for. If we show ambition of going for another promotion, I reckon those lads offered new contracts would be more eager to join.
  10. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, it's nice to have you here, @LesBradd4England. Enjoy sharing your thoughts and opinions with us.
  11. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Magpie Bill. I hope you join in with the discussions when your time is permitted.
  12. He's a talented player who seems too advanced for Chester. This should indicate to their supporters that they have attained a fantastic signing. I hope he does well in his future endeavours.
  13. I also liked Jake Reeves; I thought he was a very good player for Notts. I don’t mind that he wanted to play in the Football League; a player’s career is quite short and one injury could change everything. I wish him well at Wimbledon.
  14. PSG is an awful club. Their honeymoon period seems to be over, but they’re just a nothing club that has become what it is solely due to the money their owners have put in. They have toxic players with sulky attitudes when they lose. I’ve seen quite a few of their games and they’re poor losers; it’s no surprise they’re having further issues.
  15. I wish them well. Football is all about dreaming big and having the passion to see it through. I won’t laugh at them just because their owner has the ambition to make it to the Football League. It may sound difficult, but let them dream.
  16. Either team could have won for me, but I find it funny that the son of a die-hard United fan scored the goal that sent Wednesday up to the Championship. That’s a little bit of poetic irony, I think!
  17. His dad was a die-hard Blade, yet his son is now a Wednesday hero! You couldn’t make this stuff up.
  18. I remember that letter doing the rounds on social media. I wonder if that fan still attends Accrington Stanley matches? The reasons behind switching make sense to me; having a local club that works with the community, rather than a mega giant that takes your support for granted, is special!
  19. @Fan of Big Tone Ha! Don’t take me too seriously. My comment was just a bit of tongue-in-cheek humour. There’s no harm in searching; I just like to make things a bit more challenging for myself! No, his career continued for almost another decade @Fozzy.
  20. Here's the rephrased sentence in UK spelling: "I'm checking VAR. Did you search Google, @Fan of Big Tone? You've guessed the correct answer! Points Table: @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 2 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie- 1 @super_ram - 1 Round 10 clue: This person was born in October and is a former professional footballer from England. He last played for a team in the East Midlands and he knew where the net is. Can you guess who it is? Yes @super_ram,
  21. Technically, he is English and was born in a region near Manchester. He is an Englishman who has forgotten.
  22. Guys, feel free to ask questions. If you don't know, that's the only other way you will get closer. He represented his other sport in the late 80s. His time at Notts may have been forgotten, but he remains a legend with the club where he made his name. He identified himself as a national of another country.
  23. He became a different player once we started playing him out of position. In midfield, he was quite good, but after his spell in defence, he became woeful. He keeps bouncing around Midlands non-league teams; he should settle.
  24. I have nothing to report on my weekend; it has been strangely quiet and uneventful. I hope you all have a great time in Skegness. Don’t worry, we’ll hold down the fort, gaffer!
