  1. Here's the rephrased sentence in UK spelling: "I'm checking VAR. Did you search Google, @Fan of Big Tone? You've guessed the correct answer! ???? Points Table: @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 2 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie- 1 @super_ram - 1 Round 10 clue: This person was born in October and is a former professional footballer from England. He last played for a team in the East Midlands and he knew where the net is. Can you guess who it is? Yes @super_ram, ????????
  2. Technically, he is English and was born in a region near Manchester. He is an Englishman who has forgotten.
  3. Guys, feel free to ask questions. If you don't know, that's the only other way you will get closer. He represented his other sport in the late 80s. His time at Notts may have been forgotten, but he remains a legend with the club where he made his name. He identified himself as a national of another country.
  4. He became a different player once we started playing him out of position. In midfield, he was quite good, but after his spell in defence, he became woeful. He keeps bouncing around Midlands non-league teams; he should settle.
  5. Has this run its course? If no one guesses, I'll call it a day doing this.
  6. There are members missing in action who, for some reason, don’t post. Life does get in the way and the club’s interest may peak or allow them to lose interest. With all due respect, I care not for those who aren’t present but for those who are. I think @Piethagoram has been amazing since arriving and deserves to be named the Member of the Year. If past members want to get involved, that’s good. If they choose to sit it out for whatever reason, so be it. I don’t miss them; I only miss those who can’t be here like @GrannyPie and @Who r ya?? You Pies!!.
  7. Points Table: @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 1 @KB1862 - 1 @liampie - 1 @super_ram - 1 Round 9 Clue: This person was born in a region of the UK known for its textile industry and started their career with a football club located in Greater Manchester. They were voted as the greatest-ever in their position by fans of a certain club. They also represented their country in two sports. Can you guess who it is?
  8. I’m happy for you and your family, Adam. You’ve faced challenges but have shown strength and courage. Macaulay is lucky to have such caring parents and siblings. I hope he grows up to love Notts County as much as you do.
  9. @Fan of Big Tone - no, neither of those two players. In my opinion, he didn’t spend much time at Notts. His career wasn’t as successful as @liampie’s. I don’t want to comment on that. However, he is known for participating in many charity games.
  10. Round 8 has arrived and it's uncertain whether it will be challenging or straightforward. The hope is that it will be more difficult and require several rounds of clues. Best of luck to all! Clue: This person is an English football coach and former professional footballer. They began their career with a Premier League side and went on to play for several Football League teams before playing in Non-league. They returned to one of their former teams as a joint player/manager before departing at the end of a season. Can you guess who this person is? Points Table @Fozzy - 4 @Fan of Big Tone - 1 @KB1862 - 1 @super_ram - 1
  11. What a signing for Notts County! Jodi Jones is an absolute baller who can tear apart any defence with his pace and skill. He was a joy to watch during his loan spell and I’m so happy he’s staying with us for the next two years. He’s got a bright future ahead of him and he’ll be a key player for us.
  12. This is a fantastic signing for Notts County. Jodi Jones is one of the best players in the league and he’ll only get better with more experience and confidence. He’s got pace, skill, vision and a great attitude. He’s a joy to watch and I can’t wait to see him in action again.
  13. I apologise, I made an error. I initially believed he was a right back, but upon checking to confirm, I discovered references to him being a centre back. @Fozzy is indeed correct; I am uncertain if he played there later in his career. I shall update the table and return with a new participant tomorrow around 6pm.
  14. I like it! However, it’s incorrect unfortunately. I never thought that mentioning John Terry could lead to Sol Campbell, but it’s a clever assumption.
  15. No, that’s not quite right, but it was a good guess. I’ll reveal a little something that might help you figure out who this person is - he played in the same position on the pitch as John Terry. Keep those guesses coming!
  16. It’s a tough choice as there were so many great goals to choose from. I think the club could have narrowed down their selection to just 5 goals to make it easier for us to decide. However, I’m going to go with the one that stands out most in my memory - John Bostock’s goal against Wrexham.
  17. It’s not Frank Vincent or John Bostock, although both are excellent guesses based on the limited information provided in the first clue. The second clue: He is now a manager. The first four teams he played for have a very interesting pattern that was only broken after he signed from one London club to another.
  18. Great articles, lads! It’s wonderful to see @TheSkipper featured and the return of the Notts Alumni articles.
  19. Notts has had a successful run during the conference years, performing well in their first season. Some fans may have had changing expectations due to the arrival of the Reedtz and the possibility of increased spending. However, it’s important to note that both the Reedtz and the club as a whole needed time to adjust. Finishing in the playoffs has been a great achievement and could serve as a hallmark of the club’s success. The two appearances at Wembley were incredible experiences, and it’s unfortunate that fans were unable to attend due to COVID restrictions. Achieving promotion within four seasons is a respectable accomplishment!
  20. This is signs of a top, top player. Langstaff’s performance is nothing short of amazing. He has consistently delivered outstanding performances on the field, showing incredible skill and precision. His talent and dedication are truly admirable, and he has proven himself to be a top-tier player.
  21. Don’t worry, this time I’ve been much more careful, but there’s still enough information for some guesses to be made. Once I receive two guesses or any questions, I’ll follow up.
  22. Jonathan Forte had an incredible ability to find the back of the net. He was a natural goal scorer with a keen eye for finding the perfect shot. His talent for scoring goals was matched only by his passion for the game, and he always gave his all for the team. Forte’s time at Notts County was filled with plenty of good memories, as he consistently delivered top-notch performances on the pitch. He was a true asset to the team and his contributions will never be forgotten.
  23. Hello @Fan of Big Tone, the objective of this game is to discover the identity of a former Notts player or manager. Indeed, this individual did play for Notts.
  24. Sorry about that! Earlier, I thought I had sent this message but it appears it was left unsent on my screen. Now it’s finally here. I’ll wait for a few questions before revealing anything in great detail. I’m aiming for 3 to 4 rounds of accurate guesses! Round 8: Clue: He came from London, but he wandered far and wide. He played in many places, but he never stayed for long. Who is he?
  25. Based on our squad, I believe we could make the playoffs, but we might also end up mid-table. Our squad needs to learn how to compete against professional teams with better overall squads. I hope we can secure points against teams we’re expected to beat. I’m not setting my expectations too high and will support the club regardless of the outcome.
